it should not be this difficult to volunteer for things! i know WHY community groups can be so horribly disorganized (people willing to coordinate burn out or get busy and someone else has to take over) but when your site contradicts the half dozen linktree docs with all different instructions...

the snow is beautiful but it has me in too much pain to deal with anything and my tdl is over 50 items long, now including clearing all this snow when i can neither grip nor lift things.

this crystallizes why, despite truly heroic solidarity and activism, i can’t quite get in the “we’re going to win” mindset right now. the harm is so active and there’s so much violence we don’t even know about. people are being turned into ghosts.

just like how if we stop keeping track of deaths from a cause, that means nobody dies of it anymore! what a simple hack. can't imagine why nobody ever thought of it before. "stop counting" cures all problems, right?
there was an increasing non-zero chance i was gonna snap and murder my entire household** if the front door didn't get fixed so it stopped scraping the concrete and setting off the dogs, so i found A Guy.
