Okay, in all fairness, sure, they COULD set it chronologically before DR4, it'd be a huge cop-out, but not impossible.
Look, I'm gonna roll my eyes hard at this, but if they ACTUALLY want to make a game that captures what made the original work and pull it off, I'll admit it.

In fairness Capcom Vancouver (who developed DR4) was shut down years ago and this is supposedly bridging the gap between Dead Rising 1 and 2

DR2x2 next year is going to go crazy, especially after all of the hype built-up from Hundred Line. I can't believe we're getting a DR4.

Baffling game.
Localization is ROUGH
Not since MGSV have I seen such tonal whiplash.
Even 3 on PSP had more actual "disaster" segments. 4's mostly helping people tidy up after.
Endings are awful, makes zero sense.
Still had a great time. My kinda game. Love Granzella.

I vividly can recall having followed the GAIA mission through it's development and construction phase and then through start, cruise and commissioning. It's hard to believe that this long phase of series of exciting events now gets into calmer waters. Looking forward to #DR4 and #DR5 !

TLDR; contrarily to previous analysis of ACT DR4, the new data do not favor EDE in the Bayesian analysis, only leading to upper limits to the max EDE contribution (fEDE), unless SH0ES is included. However, there are some intriguing aspects that we point out in our paper.

I'd argue that the Gaia Mission should have had a full time person in this role since before 2018, but at least this is something, right?

They’re fun to use and see but I won’t lie… combo weapons imo are the big cause of identity loss, the entire game balanced on it instead of the “anything and everything is a weapon” gimmick… that and I had bad taste of it after I played DR3 (I haven’t and refuse to play DR4 LMAO)
