#Demineralization
Got a good grade in teeth for someone who's only been to a dentist once for wisdom teeth extraction in the past 9 years. One small cavity, and some enamel demineralization just to be aware of.

My broken wisdom tooth (from having demineralization of the teeth) broke another decent size chunk off tonight. So I need to get it removed soon and Leia needs a dental visit that’ll cost almost $1500 (high end). Should I fundraise for hers? Would I even get support being a smol streamer?

"Cohort studies in children... found no association between 100% fruit juice intake & tooth erosion or dental caries... RCT data in adults suggests that 100% fruit juice could contribute... [but] were from small, short-term studies that... are not reflective of normal juice consumption."

deep cleaned the plant humidifier, changed out the demineralization filter, and it won't turn on for some reason?

So that's how my day is going.

"Eating candy leads to cavities not because of the sugar itself, but because of how it fuels harmful oral bacteria. When you eat candy, bacteria feeds on the sugar and releases acid. This acid creates a process called demineralization, eventually creating small holes or cavities."

There are demineralization things you can drop in ultrasonics that work ok

demineralization can happen from so many meds, with so many indications, and many of them have higher prevalence among Autistic people

& I know I'm being super literal, but being an Autistic prescriber who treats Autistic people...

the details matter

Demineralization is when there are high prolactin levels so yes but, hopefully its unrelated, the gofundme doesn't relate the meds to autism

Risperidone is approved for "Autistic agitation" but this is kinda an outdated indication & inappropriate w/o other symptoms

Which is something no child should have to deal with, and if it is any kind of medicine that causes demineralization it needs to be investigated. I'm autistic myself and medication I've had to take never caused demineralization so I wish to know what is being pushed by doctors.

It's more likely to be something like risperidone, which is known to cause rapid demineralization of tooth enamel. Older people on medications with similar side effects often go with tooth removal rather than deal with the dental issues.

Demineralization of tooth enamel is a common side-effect of many medications used to treat issues comorbid with autism. Help this girl!

Ohhhh... That's unusal. We also use these demineralization pads that levoit makes. Perhaps that's why we don't get dust with refer osmosis water.

Cells cultured on demineralized surfaces showed improved morphology and spreading compared to controls. Microscopy analysis revealed that demineralization altered surface parameters like peak-to-valley and peak-to-peak distances, without affecting roughness or mineral content.

This study investigated the effects of bone demineralization on osteoblast behavior. Bone samples from rat calvaria were treated with 10% or 50% citric acid, or saline solution.

Under the harsh conditions of gum disease, the dynamic bonds release anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents, while neutralizing acidity to prevent tooth demineralization.

Getting used to my refurbished teeth. Considering that I'd gone three years without a cleaning—I've been busy—there were no periodontal disasters. I do floss. A couple of cavities, one "ding", and one spot of demineralization, that's it.
