#Grauniad
Honestly the way they talk about it you'd think they'd built a mile wild amazon distribution center, it's a frickin' railway - a little bit of perspective (and yes the grauniad do elevate these nimbus just for clicks which is half the problem).

The Grauniad this morning reminded me of the trauma of the last Secret Santa I participated in, which was on a rugby team that I never fit in with. Perhaps I just fatally misread the room as always.

I gave: some nice holiday mugs filled with chocolates and Stollen bites.

I received: a tin of […]

Um, not quite right, Grauniad.

The FT article was from March 2018- the Grauniad one I posted was from 2019- the latter remains the current position.

If we add an SPS deal onto the TCA then we get closer to a Swiss deal & that will be as close as we can get outside of the EU.

We do need to ask the EU about rejoining though.

*pitches article to the Grauniad* "Noa-Lyn's win proves trans people have an unfair advantage"

*also pitches* "Noa-Lyn's loss proves trans people shouldn't play against normal people"

That'll be £500 either way, please. 😐

It’s funny (ish). About six or months or so back he pops up and generally spots that the world is going to rats… Complete “silence” when you ask “How did the Grauniad contribute to this horror show?”

Just finished today's Grauniad Cryptic Crossword. Needed a bit (quite a bit) of work

One of the few times there's been general rejoicing, at least here and on the Grauniad!

Reminds me of one of those annoying* Grauniad "Experience: this thing happened to me" from someone who eventually became Jeremy Heywood's wife!

*Annoying because it then leaves you hanging as it's an excerpt from a book

'fake, anti-Labour videos viewed 1.2bn times in 2025'. Grauniad.

Has the Grauniad had a collective stroke? Actually reporting something mildly supportive? I'm surprised it's not reported as "Starmer wastes the time of 2.5bn users by failing to stop AI slop after 18 month in power, meanwhile Niggly Farridge..."

Nice try but I'm still not renewing my subscription!

Either way, the columnist class - including those at the Grauniad - can absolutely go to hell

Teh Grauniad says 'Nigel Farage's party is gunning for power'.

Mr Stedman: Sorry to bother you. Could you post me a link to that article please? Grauniad seems to have moved/removed the search facility🤔
Even as, or perhaps more because, I'm closely bordering on atheist nowadays, I find this infiltration of, and narrow publicising of CofE troubling.
Many thanks.

Not bizarre, considering the fact that The Grauniad has been intolerant of Trans People, Left-wing politicians and politics, and users who constructively criticise the arbitrary/biased, little-hitler rulings of the moderation staff on the cynically named section "Comment is Free".
The rag that was instrumental in spreading lies about Jeremy Corbyn - and thus bringing you Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, & backstabbing, lying, mediocre, U-turning, genocide-enabling Keir Starmer - has now decided to borrow a slogan from Donald Trump.

TBF what does well on the Grauniad often has little correlation with what did well on Kotaku and IGN when I worked there. It's refreshing but also puzzling? After 8 years I have not figured out the REASON for this difference

Still seems extraordinary to me that this isn't all over Bluesky or the UK press - to my knowledge The Grauniad hasn't even reported it.
Not a source I'd usually cite, but this horror is so far missing from The Grauniad, strangely enough... Starmer declared the same in 2019. This means they've both declared 'I'm a genocidalist'. Never to be forgiven. www.thejc.com/news/politic...

What does deserve simultaneous snark and admiration is the Instagram post linked in the article. It's incredibly well done lip synching, but also; I would rather file my nose off with a cheese grater than post that to the public and then let the Grauniad publicise it
December 12, 2025 at 9:52 AM
Fair points. But curious that the Grauniad print articles like this about people like Polanski and Corbyn, but never about people like Starmer. In fact, anyone saying the same thing about people like Starmer gets called a crank/Trot and marginalised.

Odd isn't it?

Grauniad really scraping the barrel here aren't they? The term "great British xxxxx" has been used for decades in many scenarios, from recipes, to scenic drives, to fashion and music. Get over it. Language evolves, see adverts on t'telly.

It’s ironic that Polanksi is still mocked for saying we need a European defence force…

And a Grauniad columnist hauled out the “breast hypnotism” story again yesterday 🙄
Zelensky: We held a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”, a key format for Ukraine’s current and future security support. We're working to ensure that security guarantees include robust European deterrence components and are reliable. It's important that the U.S. stands with us in support.
