One of my favorite things to wear- baby alpaca 🦙 vest in a lovely grey. #showmeyourknits #knitsky recommend doing armhole ribbing with wool or wool blend for better shape - and mybe one day i will redo. But for now just a wonderfully cozy layer. The feel is so silky, very little pilling.

Found an old Irving hat at the thrift shop! It was made in Canada. Sadly the wool mill that made them closed last year. It’s in good shape too! They had a fill the bag sale and I got some good stuff. Sweater is handknit and the skirt is new with tags. Might be too small for me, it says xs

I shouldn’t need any stress knitting today because I’m on strike instead of working. But my own trauma turned me into an empath and the modern gestapo are killing people in the streets.

So today I’ll be working on the 2nd Sweet Potato sock.
The 2nd sweet potato sock in progress held up with the completed 1st. The cuff is finished and the leg just started. Here’s we’re I’m starting today. The yarn is from Lichen and Lace (an indie Canadian dyer) and It’s sumptuously soft. This colorway is a blend of all the colors you’d expect to find in a regular sweet potato and a purple sweet potato—orange, rust, gold, purple, and lavender. Close up of the first sock where the leg, heel, and gusset meet. It’s the magical part of a handknit sock where the stitches appear to be coming from three different directions yet are seamless. The texture of the classic heel stitch and the gusset decreases are seen.
