#Konix
We are especially pleased to see this.

We named our #Multisystem FPGA based console as a homage to the magical vision that was the Konix Multisystem.
Pretty Huge News!

@Savourysnax has open-sourced the Konix Multisystem and Flare One Slipstream emulator and the MiSTer FPGA Konix core amoungst other related tools and info.

I swore by the Konix Speeding for years, saying it was the best joystick. But after picking one up about five years ago, it was actually crippling to use. The Competition Pro or Mega Drive pad are my go-to controllers for the Amiga.

So - exciting Konix related news to share: Digital Eclipse are releasing a title featuring the life and works of Jeff Minter and it even features the AMC’89 Konix Multisystem prototype as one of the 42 playable games.
Mind blowing!

I've been wanting to play this since it was supposed to be a Konix Multi system title. Maybe I should finally get around to it.

The Konix Multisystem, an ambitious and innovative console from Wales. I'd have bought one in a heartbeat, if it had ever made it into the shops. whereweretheynow.blogspot.com/2024/08/koni...

@matt.godbolt.org Hi Matt, do you know anyone who may have had some involvement with the Konix dev work around that I can chat with?

TGM#19 June 1989. Consoles still treated suspicion b/c of 2 things -the fate of Atari in the US, and Nintendo still pretending only US and Japan exist. Konix is the great UK hope, and Sam is intriguing for Speccy owners. Neither will be a success but both have a role in the 80s UK gaming narrative!

35 years ago, CVG covered the greatest console that never was: the Konix Multisystem. It was technically impressive, had incredible peripherals, and was generally very cool. Problem was, the people who made it just didn't have enough money to put it into production. Such a shame.

I would love to see the Konix version of Last Ninja 2 included in your Kickstarter - would you like to enable your fans to try it?
March 3, 2025 at 6:17 PM
True. And there were a few other weird attempts (Konix...)

Ultimate/Rare apparently had some interesting hardware, but escaped to Nintendo (who really knew what they were doing).
