#Lumpectomy
“Why did you ask me to remove my panties for the lumpectomy?”

Tomorrow is my first mammogram since my lumpectomy. 🙏

sweet baby Ernie is getting his lumpectomy today, accepting any and all good vibes you have to spare 🙏🏻

Sadly, it has been a month, so righty was getting a bit sore (she’s more reactive to different shapes than the left one since I lost a bunch of lefty to a lumpectomy)

So we’re going with the most fun bars I have.

Ps. Holy shit BlueSky actually acknowledged my appeal on the other pic?!

After a lumpectomy the last thing you want to do is laundry or even hand washing. Since you are wearing them 24/7 I recommend more than 3. I have 4 and tbh I need a couple more.

Congratulations! And minutes ago I learned yesterday's lumpectomy is benign. Fortune smiles.

Thank you so much! I appreciate this and hope you are doing well. It’s been very stressful, but having my surgery date gives me a little relief. I had a lumpectomy in 2019 and can’t believe I’m here again.

My mother got great news yesterday: her bone scan and lymph node biopsies show no signs of metastasis from her breast cancer! All she'll need to do is get a lumpectomy and radiation.
What a relief! 😌

Lumpectomy day.

Let's evict this bitch.

Had my lumpectomy this morning. Theyre confident they got it all, and I have to have a few radiotherapy sessions to mop up anything lingering.

At home in bed with cat who's not being very helpful 🙄 😂

Nerys and I had her post biopsy appointment with our plan of attack in brief:

-Stage 1 Class 2 Lobular Carcinoma

- Lumpectomy/Partial Mascectomy in mid-late January.

-4 weeks of radiation. Likely no Chemotherapy, but not ruled out yet.

-5+ years of medications.

We have a fight ahead of us.

keeping you in my thoughts <3 i went through this myself complete with lumpectomy so please feel free to dm or reach out if you want to talk or have questions. you got this!!

biopsy the week before Thanksgiving. No, the doctor didn’t do that; I had a lumpectomy. I had to get a wire guide inserted which required an incision; a lot of fang dangling to get it as close to the mass as possible; took 2 hrs; then surgery was 30 min later; took 2.75 hrs.

I'm happy for you! But please y'all, take the initiative to do your own breast exams. Someone very close to me had a clean mammo in January but she felt a lump while taking a shower in June. Fortunately she's been in remission after a prompt lumpectomy, axillary node dissection, chemo and radiation💙

Had that happen recently. Went through surgery, lumpectomy and radiation in 2021, so I was in tears before the radiologist came in and said hurriedly, “It’s fine, you’re fine.” I thought I’d put that trauma behind me but I guess not.
December 14, 2025 at 12:35 AM
Im so happy to hear all is okay! Had that happen to me twice and each time I had a lumpectomy and radiation. I’m 20 years out and all is good so far!

Going down to my mom’s on Wednesday for her lumpectomy. Mammogram caught it in October, thank goodness!
December 13, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Been there . A lumpectomy later I still am doing chemo as it was deemed aggressive even though very small and stage one. Thanks to a team that took their job very seriously. Chances from 80/20 to 95/5 for ten years.

Ladies. Don't stop mammograms because you've "aged out". Push back when the dr says you're too old to get one. Mom demanded one at 84. Guess what?! Positive. She had lumpectomy surgery this week.

Watching C4 SU2C and the experience of Shirley who waited 8 weeks from breast screening to follow up appointment,a further 3 weeks for lumpectomy & 4 weeks to get the results, she has to wait until January for radiotherapy.King Charles can never begin to understand what ordinary people go through.

Breast cancer survivor here. Mine was caught stage 1, so I just had to have a lumpectomy, radiation (fried like a damn egg), a hysterectomy and a decade of tamoxifen. I did not do chemo.
The earlier you catch it, the better then doctors can help.
Get the mammogram!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got the dreaded ”we see something unusual on your mammogram results” phone call yesterday. Went back in this morning for another mamo and ultrasound. The radiologist looked at everything and said “You’re all clear!”
Women, stay up on your yearly mamo. It’s not fun but it can save your life.
December 13, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Anita - I'm so glad this turned out well for you. You are right to encourage yearly mammograms. Back in 2013, a mammogram revealed a growth in my left breast. Went back for the biopsy. It was malignant. However, it was caught very early, and I only had a lumpectomy. Cancer-free since then. :)
December 13, 2025 at 4:21 AM
My mammogram was normal, so my next one was 366 days later. That one was abnormal & biopsy proved malignant. The watchful radiologist (using AI) found a tiny localized tumor. A small lumpectomy is quick & easy & usually a complete cure. Mine was & I am so grateful.

Don’t delay.
