For everyone else (ref. Wowpedia): Kel'Thuzad was the founder of the Cult of the Damned and one of the principal agents of the Lich King responsible for the spreading of the plague of undeath across Lordaeron. Originally a human mage of the Kirin Tor, Kel'Thuzad was swayed under the influence of the Lich King.
Kel'Thuzad (pronounced /'kɛlθuzɑːd/) was a powerful human mage, an archmage of the Kirin Tor, and member of the Council of Six until his interest in the dark arts caused him to be stripped of his rank and holdings, and exiled from Dalaran by the Grand Magus Antonidas. Driven by the voice in his head, he traveled to Northrend and climbed the Frozen Throne to offer his soul to the Lich King.
In death, Kel'Thuzad entered the afterlife of Maldraxxus where he was approached by Sire Denathrius and soon rose to a position of power within the House of Rituals, a position he used to plunge Maldraxxus into chaos in order to further the efforts of his new master, Zovaal the Jailer, across the Shadowlands. After his machinations were revealed, the archlich escaped to his master's side in the Sanctum of Domination, where he was destroyed for good in a final confrontation with Azeroth's heroes.

It's such a shame about SL's story because aesthetically I love it so much - Maldraxxus and Revendreth would be all-time zones for me (they almost are even still) if they weren't tied to SL lmao

2 pets will def do more damage but sadly i dont think u can go 1 pet unless u pick that talent it always summons the second creature for me (unless im doing smth wrong) but yeah theres the tome of undead pets u can farm in maldraxxus

Ardenweald surprised me with being more about sacrifice and renewal, and Revendreth really flipped the vibes similar to Maldraxxus like I never imagined I’d be throwing PARTIES in the not-vampires zone but there we are

I also liked the covenants like the vibes weren’t what was expected and I loved it for that. Bastion was learning from the Forsworn to move onto being a better covenant in honouring memory better, Maldraxxus had oddly goofy moments that saved it from feeling like an edgelords dream-

In fairness from doing the covenant stuff, Maldraxxus and Revendreth had the funniest moments, what with the abomination stitching being good vibes and Revendreth has parties 😭

Yeah, I guess it felt too much like an oversimplification of the after life. Cuz you have reincarnation (Ardenweald), a Valhalla-esque always fighting (Maldraxxus), "Heaven" (Bastion) and "Hell" (Revendreth). Plus it felt like shamans were completely forgotten, and they have the most ancestral lore

Also we do know Naigtal has (or had) sentient life. One of the NPCs in Maldraxxus is from there and talks about a festival he used to participate in.

Would have loved to see more of Darion Mograine's Story and seeing rest of his family. While him and his father was really good specially seeing Alexandros Mograine in Maldraxxus and the questchain. Felt like there should had been more to Mograine Story.
