if it looks like i take a tough stance on oc and ship perception it's not a slight on others moreso a self protection method. i come from spaces where nobody gives a shit about multishipping or npc possession, so looking into xiv is like putting armor on before going into battle, you understand.

Exactly!! The creativity and love so much of the artists and writers in this fandom put into things has made me fall in love with so much I NEVER expected to. I hate that there is STILL fighting going on, or that it's some dumb sports team logic or "you're a traitor" for multishipping x__x

I get the appeal of multishipping but the insanity of brainrotting about one continuous timeline for any OC and knowing they have their one guy (gender neutral) somewhere is so powerful 2 me. I love making friends turn their OCs singleship when plotting with me :^) never an obligation but. Heehee

to do things like multiple timelines and multishipping but of course I don't want to ruin things for other people! So all those other times? I just… left. I deemed it was too much for my mental health and abandoned it most of the time or gave up on the elements that were triggering it.
