#Newsarama
What was your biggest impact on the internet?

Writing for Newsarama I wrote some amazing articles. Most were lost when the servers were wiped but a few were backed up. Thank god. Still proud of these pieces.

Here’s one I wrote 2002ish about then defunct Valiant Comics: sequart.org/magazine/281...

Newsarama are great. CBR can fuck off.

Ah ok même la page d’accueil de @comicsblog.bsky.social faut considérer ça comme terrain miné donc. Bon, tant pis. 😮‍💨 Même Newsarama a réussi à mettre un spoiler warning c’est dommage.

Hey BlueSky, where do you go these days for comics news and reviews? I haven't been paying attention since the days of Newsarama and CBR. I'm looking to get my pirate book in some influential hands.

I miss the days when the worst thing that happened in journalism was the writers at Newsarama jerking off DC Comics because the editor wanted to write Batman more than he wanted to engage in an inappropriate relationship with his college-age intern.

Cue Heroes Con 2010 and at a DC panel the question was asked with Senior Story Editor Ian Sattler and Billy Tucci himself attending the panel (sadly the Newsarama link I originally found is down but if someone can find it I’d be grateful). Here’s a clip of the quote though:

Have been back in Lynch-world the last few weeks, working on some stuff for the near future. Here's a piece I wrote for Newsarama on his great, weird weekly comic.

Meet The Angriest Dog in the World: David Lynch's bizarre, long-running weekly comic strip
The series ran for nine years in the '80s and '90s

It kind of sucks that Newsarama doesn't live post panels anymore, and Popverse is hidden behind a pay wall! Ugh!

Remember Newsarama back in the day? I used to love that site.

I miss when comic sites weren't owned by big corporations that have no idea how to use them. I think it started when Newsarama got merged with GamesRadar, then ComicVine died after it got bought out by GameSpot, then the same thing happened to CBR.

I remeber when I used to go to CBR or Newsarama but everything seemed to move to click bait articles like this

So many of these things also seem written by AI and a lot of other articles (less opinion based than this) just have their facts wrong, which is annoying to any loyal comicbook fan

Reminds me of the time when Comic Book Resources and Newsarama went to shit and became worthless listicle and click-bait sites, killing great online communities.
Or when the hundreds of hours of work I put into comicbookdb vanished into thin air.

I used to run one called Near-Mint Heroes. Later I worked at The Great Curve and Blog@Newsarama when they were a thing.

Something to consider… with this bit on CB from Newsarama (1st pic) that CB stepped out of the spotlight (hired 2017) and Feige taking the role over all of Marvel as Chief Creative Officer in 2019…have to wonder if it was decided that the MCU would drive the brand. (Cont)

I had a chance to interview him once for Newsarama and he was just such a class act.

I need that Enemy Ace Artists Edition now.
