The #zine is also incredibly fortunate to have a number of financial supporters through OpenCollective, Ko-Fi and Patreon, people who like the project, like Free-Culture and to support independent artists.

Also for those who are unfamiliar with OpenCollective: all our funds are managed publicly. You can see every donation, every invoice, and every reimbursement right on our public page: opencollective.com/conjured-ink

We’re committed to being as transparent and clear as possible about our finances.
I'm just gonna say y'all are amazing.

Thanks to your generous donations, we've been able to fairly compensate ($200!) the designer of our logo. They originally did it as part of their volunteer work, but they're affected by SNAP and so we compensated them for their labor instead.

Thank you all!!!!

We recently moved to an OpenCollective for @ash-hq.org, and I'm happy to announce that we've successfully had our first feature PR merged as a result of offering a bounty! You can now paginate included relationships in AshJsonApi 🎉 Shout to to @sriky27.bsky.social! Great work 😎

c'est principalement pour connaitre les modalités et contraintes pour une scop qui aurait possiblement beaucoup de personnes qui résident à l'étranger mais pour nous permettre d'avoir des options de financement et compensation un peu plus diverses que via OpenCollective

Thanks to a bunch of generous sponsors, @conjured.ink has raised over $500 (!), and are now up to $90/mo pledged (!!), almost 1/5 of our monthly goal. At this rate, it won’t be long before we can afford to actually incorporate a coop for our little collective.

So far the general consensus when I ask if the company is have a Fediverse presence is "what is the Fediverse". They know Mastodon, sometimes Pixelfed, but Fediverse isn't a term folks know.

Of course @opencollective are here! Wonderful folks!

Also spoke to @[email protected]. again […]

you can sponsor @e18e.dev through GitHub Sponsors or OpenCollective

these funds will primarily be used for two things:

- distributed to projects/individuals in the wider JS community
- development of community projects/tools

thanks so much to those of you who already sponsor us 💙
e18e - Ecosystem Performance - Open Collective
The e18e community has the aim of improving performance of tooling and packages in the JavaScript ecosystem.

You've been a class act through the whole thing and this post just continues that. I appreciated your advocacy for using OpenCollective, I thought that was a great contribution 👍

As a lot of attention has been going to Blacksky (esp. in light of questionable choices by Bluesky leadership), I want to highlight that it's easy to materially support the project on OpenCollective at whatever level you're capable opencollective.com/blacksky
I also have a question ... 1/2

Thanks to budget surpluses, social.coop has been able to make donations to other nonprofit projects as well: to the Mastodon software maintainers, to IFTAS (Trust & Safety nonprofit), to Peertube (YouTube alternative), etc. Democratically decided, of course.

permanent ban from BlueSky.
I agree with the OP, and I'd also like to see this trigger a huge flood of paid-subscriptions to BlackSky on OpenCollective:

I started subscribing to Blacksky opencollective to help support their efforts in building independent infrastructure to participate in microblogging on the ATProto network.

I'm not certain Bluesky PBC will remain a benevolant host of the network forever so alternatives are needed.
