There is also body horror all around, not just about you (in general but also about the one monster questioning your reasoning in front of the cathedral-shelter or like the whole clinic with the blue people, not spelling it from memory at 2am). The doll itself is a whole can of worms too.

I feel a more recent example of seeing this feeling depicted in games is Bloodborne (on top of the fact it should be forbidden to discuss this game without talking about womanhood, looking at all the big souls lore channels)

On a personal note I daydream a few times a week of growing a pair of wings or big spider legs and not even for the final result but the whole process of feeling them grow, of being there.

And I know I could send that to quite a few trans people who would reply to me with "real" or "same" ^^

In a way some surgeries we may pursue fall into a realistic attainable version of this for some though for us often the real horror is the wrong puberty we go through and the rest is the liberation

There is a definetly a sense of liberation in body horror for people who feel trapped in themselves, a sense of reckoning, of going all the way to the monstrous since you will already be seen as such, to shed the skin and become something different and new.

Though I would say the experience described in the article are very much not unique to Parasite Eve. Those feelings and thoughts appear for many girls for various games with details changing of course. Sometimes the timing is the main criteria for why it was this game and not that one.

I actually never had any PlayStation of any kind ever (and started consoles late cuz parents, like we got a dreamcast as a 1st console when it was already almost dead) ^^
I am only vaguely familiar with this title so probably not enough to give an opinion on this one

I am honestly helped that I was able to work at a good salary for 8 months and that I had leftover from my 2 year medical leave I had while being employed that counts for unemployment

I mean I think I will manage, the other half will most likely be enough to cover the usual monthly expenses (I'd have to redo the count but it's most likely fine) and I have a buffer thanks to some money not spent in the last few months and my grandma dying (she was a piece of shit)

but just in general she was showing stuff in a bit exaggerated manner for demonstration and so that everyone could see clearly and everyone else was not too fond of doing it more than once in a while I was just "yeah just go at it, it's fun and ok"

the recurring thing that was hurting a bit was a sort of general submission (not the sex kind) starting by bending a couple fingers and forcing the wrist to lock and make the rest of the body follow, but even if I said that it was hurting a bit I was still ok being the test subject ^^
