Our Sabin Vaccine Institute and Texas Children's Hospital Center for Vaccine Development (Sabin), a nonprofit product development partnership (PDP) that uses industry practices to develop and test neglected disease vaccines, could occupy a key niche in vaccine diplomacy. Sabin's vaccine portfolio targets neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) that specifically affect the poorest people living in low- and middle-income countries. Because NTDs have been shown to promote poverty through their adverse effects on worker productivity, the health of girls and women, and child development, the vaccines under development at Sabin are sometimes referred to as the “antipoverty vaccines” [57], [58]. Moreover, most of the diseases targeted by the Sabin portfolio of vaccines occur in countries of direct relevance to vaccine diplomacy (Table 2) [59]. Bringing the PDP-8/e back up after it’s been in storage for the last couple of years. Fired right up with no issues! Still need to add back in the additional hardware as I’m just testing with a minimal system currently.

Yup! With a 12-bit word length and six-bit character encoding often being used, octal was a much better choice than hex. Plus the PDP-8 instruction set lent itself well to three-bit groupings.

how much of the difference is due to perception in the context of the adjacent other colour and how much would be discernible to a spectroradiometer?
(I spent a work term 40+ years ago helping to sample one via PDP-11 & PDP-8 to see if the "green" delivered matched the military's spec.)

A lot of the interfaces are crap and some of them go back to some bored guys in a lab who wanted to play on their PDP-8. I'm just being realistic about getting the infrastructure of such a project set up again.

You should do a bit on what happened to the Serial Computer. The PDP-8/S was the last of the mainstream computers that were serial. Since then there have only been a few serial machines for niche use, apparently.
