#Snes⁣
I think I got through maybe 2 levels of this, and got so frustrated that I was constantly getting hit by things the instant they scrolled onto the screen.

SNES Aladdin for me all day <3

This game was dope but hard. I played both versions. If I remember the snes version Aladdin does not have a sword and there is a change on the carpet ride.

I just got a Hobonichi Techo to try journaling, I knew about it because of the Mother collabs, but didn’t realise the developer actually founded Hobonichi! That’s awesome!

Got pointed at this by @heartbreak.one and I'm in.

First Final Fantasy: Final Fantasy. On the NES. Not quite at first run (I was 3) but before the SNES for sure.

It was interesting but it did not take hold of my brain stem.

The next two did.
I saw this and thought it would be fun, so here we go!

Gotta have some tude for the arcade port of a Genesis game to the snes

Holy shit, I managed to install the #hispeedido #HDMI thingmabob for the #nintendo64 and IT'S BLOODY WORKING! :-) It was a bit of a nightmare soldering it to what I believe is the GPU and I wasn't sure what to expect. Where the graphics of the NES and SNES would […]

made me think about how all the snes kids i knew had this game due to becoming a pack-in game. another game that just "appeared" at my house one day, probably left on purpose by one of those kids.

Aww, what a cool little compy! I got my similar PC a year before that. Ended up playing a lot of SNES and Mega Drive games on it as 2000 was the year I really got into emulation in a big way.

That's interesting to know there's a technical barrier.

per SMZ3, I had no idea the SNES memory was so roomy, metaphorically speaking.

I think the OoA/OoS question is more a technical one since there is a randomizer for the games but it doesn't sound like there's a way to make it work currently

I don't know how quad rando works, but a big reason SMZ3 can work is because each game uses different parts of the SNES ROM memory banks

Aww, nice! I was a Commodore computers kid, so missed out on the earlier games at the time. My first Zelda game wasn't until Link to the Past, and even then it wasn't until 97 or so after picking up a SNES so I had something else to play RPGs on that were cheaper than PS1 games.

RPG cozy

I do think a lot about how all the people who grew up with final fantasy in the SNES/PS1 era are fans of FF because they got like 7 games across 7-8 years. The average middle schooler today will graduate high school between franchise entries so there's no reason to be a devout fan of any one series

snes or genesis would be cool too tbh, i just wanna play it on my atari gsg

Primer juego en caja del año, Clock Tower Rewind que ha tenido finalmente un lanzamiento oficial en España 🤍 La portada alternativa (esta) es mucho mejor que la normal, ya que es como la original japonesa de SNES 🙏✂️ Fan

IMO Genesis had better level design than SNES. SNES maps were very flat, left to right, while Genesis was more labyrinthine & felt more like a real environment. But the SNES parkour style gameplay was more in character for Aladdin vs Genesis where he just used a sword, which AFAIK he never did.

After doing some digging, I found a dead SNES controller, and…voila! A perfect fit!

It feels much better now. I still can’t do a DP consistently on the left side to save my life (again, that’s a me problem, not the pad), but I’m batting 1.000 on the right.

That's definitely a game that has earned retroactive recognition because of Shinji Mikami's name attached to it, and the game would already be a cult classic even without it. Glad one of the best and most overlooked co-ops in SNES is getting even more attention now.

here's Prehistorik Man for SNES. The Prehistorik series finally makes it to console.

Day 2 - My favorite Final Fantasy is 6 (3 on SNES.)

They pushed the console to its limits and incorporated everything they had learned in all of the previous games. The story is excellent, and it has great things that no other game has yet dared to do.

And it had no appeal to me as I had a SNES as a kid instead of a Genesis. But yeah, the Nomad only had a TENTH of the sales that the GG had

I love that the SNES Goof Troop game is officially called “Shinji Mikami”s Goof Troop”
