Oh, it'll be grand.
The Nazi and Soviet pavilions faced each other at the 1937 Paris Expo. Here an art deco neo-classical phallic tower topped with a large gold eagle perched on a swastika. It's not subtle. Big, bold kitsch. Massive stairs, faux classical nudes, and that damned eagle and swastika again. There are four symbolic figures flanking the swastika, probably about to start marching.

In Paris, older buildings have 4-sided stairs, which leaves enough space to add a lift in the middle.

But in Brussels and Luxembourg, stairs in older buildings are mostly 2-sided. Adding a lift is close to impossible.
