POSSESSED was published in 1927, where the Corse-Scott's lost two of their daughters within two months of each other. The family then moved back and forth between Padstow and Little Synton in Dorset. THE SPLENDOUR OF LIFE by Edward was published in 1930. They were back on the Isle of Man in 1930.

After the war, the Corse-Scott's got down to the serious business of having children. They moved to 'Little Synton' in Verwood. After much research, it appears that the house was demolished to make way for bungalows in the 1970s.

Yeah, I think I've sorted it all out now - it's for the new book I'm doing with the British Library - POSSESSED by Rosalie and Edward Synton (aka Rosalie and Edward Corse-Scott) that's coming out in December. I think it all makes sense now!

1 Sept – #Romans honoured #Juno Regina (“Queen Juno”) & #Jupiter Tonans (“the Thunderer”). Juno’s Aventine temple was dedicated 392 BC by Furius Camillus after the conquest of Veii. Augustus later built a temple to Jupiter Tonans in 26 BCE after surviving a lightning strike campaigning in Spain.

#OTD 8 Aug AD117 #Roman #Emperor #Trajan died aged 63 following a long illness. Remembered in a positive light for his military & construction success. He succeeded Nerva & was succeeded by his cousin, Hadrian.
