One week later, Stotler & Co., the largest futures firm - whose president was president of the CBOT - went out of business. Those were on book!

The US is buying it's own TBills, while Japan is buying less US debt. This appears like using one credit card to pay the bills of another one. It's financial sleight of hand, NOT reducing US deficits. This appears to artificially keep interest rates down. Inflation will likely keep rising.

Agregate Japan and EU have way more. And unlike China ( due to capital controls) both have currencies that are truly glibally tradable and can act as reserve if need be. 1 out of those 3 dumping Tbills,$ will literally ruin US economy over night.

and even then it's like... okay, here is a smaller one, PYUSD... they park a bunch of money in cash, tbills, and repo agreements.... it's exactly what a stablecoin issuer is supposed to do
