#Teamsters‼️We've
Honestly no. I don't want anyone coming to my state/city - I want them to take action where they LIVE. We don't need outsiders here, we've been doing this shit since the 1934 Teamsters Strike.

Fight where you live.

Just to be clear, I included this detail as a compliment. I mean, if you're a Teamster boss and you *don't* have a full sleeve tattoo of Jimmy Hoffa, what are you even doing

Amazon is calling the cops to try to break the Teamsters' strike, and now Starbucks workers are starting their own strike at shops across the country over unfair labor practices.

If you need books and/or coffee, but aren't crossing these picket lines, we've got you covered!

Hey hitler lady. Biden bailed out the Teamsters union and lost vote share with union membership. Are you simply incapable of presenting any kind of argument? Like we've gone back and forth multiple times with nothing but pontitications for your equally brain dead interlocutors

Election day got all the coverage in the major media last week, but workers struggles don't stop so we've got our weekly roundup for you with all the news that got crowded out. We start with headlines from public workers in Memphis, students in Alberta, Teamsters in Philly, climbing gym workers in Minnesota, bartenders in Utah, and Iron Workers in Chicago. Our main stories start covering the impact on workers across the country by the government shutdown combined with the Trump Administration's attacks on the union movement. The VA has seen some of the harshest cuts, and we discuss the ripple effects this is having on veteran's healthcare. UC workers won a tentative agreement after threatening the largest strike in the university system's history, we discuss the organizing effort that made it happen. Finally, Starbucks workers have officially voted to authorize a massive nationwide strike, with the first rallies set to start this week. The Biden-Harris administration literally saved the pensions of thousands of Teamsters and Joe was hands down the most pro-labor president we’ve had…

How to shoot yourself in the face!

Senator Mullin challenged the Teamsters president to a fight on the senate floor over a slight on Twitter. I was thinking "is this what we've come to," but it's always been this way.

Teamsters leadership failed in showing members the difference between Trump and Harris’ records on labor.
“We’ve made a huge mistake,” John Palmer, a Teamsters executive board member. “We’ve lost out on an opportunity to try to get our members to understand why they shouldn’t be voting for [Trump].”

I mean, we've had the most pro-labor president in a very long time and basically no one, not even labor, want to reward him. The teamsters refusal to endorse Biden is particularly shocking and bleak given that the administration gave them billions in practically free money.

Well...people like my family who's income is heavily supported by Costco, and while we've seen major gains for their board and their shareholders, that windfall has been absent from the lives of their employees, who matter here way more than the Teamsters...

We've got so much appreciation for everyone who could make it to the Amazon Labor doc UNION that's had been struggling for its release, and for all the workers/organizers, including Central Indiana DSA and members of ALU, Teamsters, SBWU, AFSCME, and IEA who helped make last night happen!

"If we had a rejuvenated UFCW from top to bottom, with active leadership and an active shop floor, the whole U.S. labor movement could look very different. We need the same kind of transformation in the UFCW that we’ve seen in the UAW and the Teamsters," said @l-l-xu.bsky.social 3/7

For anyone trying to understand why the Teamsters President spoke at the RNC (!?) read this. It includes lots of gems about how labor navigates the 2 party monopoly, like this one:

“Gee we’ve been sitting in this desert for a long time getting thirsty. Maybe we should drink this cup of poison?”
July 16, 2024 at 10:09 PM
because a progressive union would have made a more realistic ask

it's why we've had some of the bigger union splits historically, it's why the teamsters and the seiu disaffiliated from AFL-CIO

if the union heads get too close with the bosses they tend to stop fighting for labor

Of course they did. The most anti-union administration we’ve ever had is unraveling everything workers have fought to defend for generations. Shame on Teamsters who bent the knee to elect this fraud. Shame on anyone who thought they were smarter. Peasant class here we come.
