#ToryLite
On the other hand, saying they would, would undo their commitment of being the party of the left, of the people. The ToryLite Labour party are not for the people anymore.

And just what is the point of the Labour Party then? So much worse than the #torylite we feared.

Labour: "We're delivering things the Tories said they would, but didn't deliver. That's why people are saying, what's the point of the Conservative Party?"

With Labour boasting about delivering Tory policies, what's the point of Westminster?

Starmer's policies show that - not only in polling - there's not much to choose between the 3 parties: Tory/ToryLite(Labour)/Reform.

Unless Labour ditches its attempt to become a Tory wannabe party, Reform is likely to win the next General Election, with local election wins before them.

It's a pretty clear statement that torylite intend to hitch our economy to the techbro shitshow in the US.

The BBC directorate is appointed by the government. 14 years of Tory government meant that any position of power at the BBC has been filled with right-wing lickspittles.

Starmer's "Labour" is ToryLite. The BBC was useful to them in their coup, getting rid of Corbyn, so why replace the lickspittles?

*Addendum: Yes, Labour has only been in government for 5mins, it'll take time to undo 14 years' destruction, but their noises so far make me see them as #ToryLite and I felt they were spineless in opposition. I also feel they don't stand on principle/evidence but just what holds a voting mass.

I think I've lost all my faith in democracy today. Lifelong Labour voter. Are Labour just ToryLite now? Looks like it.

Labour promised change, some of Scotland revived their Labour upbringing to give them a shot in the absence of a route to Indy. Saw Torylite, realised on change we can get us Independence

Alto traidor ese sorete. Si, el "new labour" que es basicamete torylite

Well said Caroline. And why exactly is Jonathan Ashworth on TV yet again? Why is this former #UKLabour MP so omnipresent on TV unlike other better known former Labour MPs. Do TV news researchers/Editors have such meagre contacts list or because he’s a reliable/deniable stand-in for Torylite Labour

The Tories and Labour are two sides of the same coin—different names, identical ideologies. Likely a pact between Blair and Thatcher to ensure uninterrupted Tory dominance. #ToryLite #NewLabour #PoliticalHegemony #UKPolitics

He’s another Blair but with poorer PR. ToryLite.

That is THE reason why I can't bring myself to vote green. My problem with the current political system is that I've got reasons to vote against every party but no reasons to vote for them.

Reform - gigaracists
Tories - racists
Lib Dems - anti-union
Labour - transphobes and torylite
Green - NIMBYs

we can expect the torylite government to double down and back the blue on this one. labour didn't support electoral reform for a reason. they get excited by abuse as much as the tories do.

Rachel Reeves, you're going after the wrong end of the financial spectrum, you should be taking the rich much much more , not the lower & middle incomes, THE RICH! At the moment the Gov't is looking like Torylite rather than Labour!
This is shocking. ITV reporting that even those with extreme disabilities in the unfit to work category are likely to lose money under new government plans. Charities have branded the move catastrophic
March 8, 2025 at 11:05 AM
a load of Leftists will be encouraged to stand against Tory+ToryLite+Reform in local elections. And their success - even the ones who don't win in this FPTP system - will encourage even more to stand in the GE in 2029... IF Starmer's Labour lasts that long.

cw politics/election/boris johnson

was anyone gonna tell me he got fired from the ch4 election coverage for plugging his book too much or did i have to find out from the torylite politics account on twt (yeh i did). thats hilarious

Agree with this! Also Keir/Labour need to bring it the 'feelgood factor' without it (and without #Labour bringing in proportional representation) the Tories/Reform's popularity will rise come the next election.

Labour need to bring in positive changes and not become Torylite.
