4. Voidbreaker. Again, just recently got back into BattleTech and as someone who was fuzzy with the lore from the post-Jihad era up until now, this is the perfect book to bring you up to speed. It's a great story with interesting and enjoyable characters, and a few good plot twists along the way.

I honestly think Voidbreaker is the best On-ramp for the timeline, because while the protag isnt omniscient to all the events around them, their story bridges from 1 era to the next & we learn as they learn. & she sees A LOT!
But I still have some catching up to do with other newer books.
