69. Infinity in the Palm of her Hands by Giaconda Belli, tr Margaret Sayers Peden

We think we know the story of Adam and Eve being cast out of the Garden of Eden, but this novel asks what that life would have really been like in the early years.

When poets write novels 🥰

65. On the Calculation of Volume III by Solvej Balle, tr Sophia Hersi Smith & Jennifer Russell (read by Genevieve Gaunt)

I’m fully on the hype train.

There is at least one other person rattling around in the 18th November. That makes things both easier and more perplexing.

I'm curious about how this award takes into account the gender of the translator. Can you clarify?

#Novellavember rec post #2 is for #WomenInTranslation!

(Yes I yelled about at least half of these last year and YES I am 80% sure one of these is actually too long to be a novella, but this is the ride we are on now, let's go!)
