Starting this is unique - see Alt text.
Images shows an abandoned Field-Marshall tractor. There is no starter motor on this - instead a burning paraffin soaked wad is inserted bottom centre to warm the 4 litre single cylinder. Then a shotgun cartridge (with shot removed) is inserted on the side top right. The flywheel is turned to compression & then the shotgun cartridge is smartly hit with a hammer.

A landscape oriented image of three trees on an extremely misty/foggy day when we also had the pleasure of snow. I love the effect mist has on the landscape, changing the way we see things, and even if we can see things. There were many more trees around but with the conditions it possible to position myself so only these three were visible.

A view down the Grand Canal in Venice at sunrise. It lined with amazing buildings, hotels, private , palaces and at the far end La Salute a famous Roman Catholic Church. As I was photographing the view a huge flock of, what I believe are, great cormorants flew along the canal. They made a marvellous spectacle.

A landscape oriented image from a visit to Venice back in 2019. I’m just back from a trip but we didn’t get anything in the way of interesting clouds and that today’s team for Bluesky Art Show. In the foreground is the promenade/ dock side with a large rusted metal anchoring point with a hefty chain around it. This area runs up the right hand side to approximately mind point where it meets the impressive skyline of Venice with St Mark’s bell tower, the Salute and San Giorgio all visible. The sea sits in the curve and above it all is a sky full of clouds.
