Never owned an Atari Jaguar - but emulation is at a damn good place these days so saves trying to hook one up to a modern TV. If you fancy playing on a maligned beast, BigPEmu is super but RetroArch has you covered across multiple platforms too. And forget those Top XX lists. AVP isn’t top. T2K is.

Like the Sega Saturn, the Atari Jaguar was also a mess architecturally; some sort of Atari ST derivative with a custom sound chip, if I'm not mistaken. Jaguar emulators ran like crap until BigPEmu, which demonstrates the astonishing programming prowess of its creator. Dude's got Big P energy.

You also have BigPEmu, and the ROM. Same emulator, more updates, and it's free.

Nice, I've heard almost nothing but praise for the Atari 50 collection, and it was you that recommended BigPEmu to me! It meant I could finally play Jaguar Doom, so I'm immensely appreciative of that. :)
I got to play T2K on an original Jag at a con, and man, did it make me prefer my PS1 controller.

capcom fighting jam via cfc2, ballz 3d via fightcade ( genesis ver ) then 3DO exhibition of some kind ( parsec, 3DO emu aint great but we'll manage ), robooh parsec, tatass fightcade w the updated rom, vortex w/bigpemu ( try native netplay & i guess parsec if it doesnt work? )

But thankfully Atari 50 led to the standalone BigPEmu which gives folk to try the wider library out, and support stuff like this!

Yes: With BigPEmu (courtesy of @richwhitehouse.bsky.social), the Jaguar's library [and that of its CD add-on] is fully emulatable! Functional Jaguar emulation was something I looked forward to for many years, and the emulator we finally got is nothing short of a masterpiece.

As someone who had actually used BigPEmu I can attest to functionality & unintrusiveness of its UI. But even if we take something like NESticle, I honestly wouldn't say that Bloodlust failed at that either. Yeah, it's colorful, so to speak, but I don't think a hand mouse icon is *that* distracting.
