Historical aside: these were the first documented evidence for an ancient glaciation predating the Pleistocene Ice Ages: the Port Askaig tillite, from sections on the east coast of Islay (just south of the Caol Ila distillery). Bunnahabhain is further north.
Both are lovely whiskys.

Review: Bunnahabhain Feis Ile 2025 Turas Math No. 1 15 Years Old
Bunnahabhain's 2025 Feis Ile release was distilled in 2008, and this one-off release is a blend of two types of casks, both made with unpeated barley. The first was matured for its full 15 years in Manzanilla sherry casks, a standby style for the distillery. The second cask type is aged for 10 years in refill casks then finished for 5 years in Amarone wine casks.
