Bunnahabhain er nok det destilleriet vi kjøper flest tapninger fra nå til dags, jeg liker både de røyka og de urøyka de lager. Av ikke-skotske går det vel mest i Myken.

Historical aside: these were the first documented evidence for an ancient glaciation predating the Pleistocene Ice Ages: the Port Askaig tillite, from sections on the east coast of Islay (just south of the Caol Ila distillery). Bunnahabhain is further north.

Both are lovely whiskys.

#Linkwood 2014 11yo and a peated #Bunnahabhain 2018 6yo.
The Linkwood is a marriage of four refill hogsheads bottled at a reduced 48 percent, while the Bunnahabhain is the product of combining five refill hogsheads.

It's a good one. Bunnahabhain and Bruichladdich are the only distilleries on Islay that regularly make an unpeated whisky.

Bunnahabhain 11yo, WhiskyHeroes The Unpronounceable, light gold in the Glencairn, swirls cling as a thin line, hang around for a while then fall as slow thick legs.

I quite enjoy the quarter cask.
Have you ever tried the Bunnahabhain 12? I think it has a hint of vanilla. Think of it a s a dessert whisky.

I’m sadly low on scotch choices at the moment. Only have one bottle so
Bunnahabhain will have to do (it’ll do nicely)

It's Burn's Night. I don't drink much at all these days but... it'd be rude not to tonight.

Tonight's choice is a lovely Bunnahabhain that's been sitting waiting for a good chance to be opened.
