Another thing that gets me is just. We have programs to give families in the global south a cow and talk about how life changing this is bc food security and economic security, yet most Americans aren't even ALLOWED to have a chihuahua by the landlord class in America

Dog families love their dogs. Chihuahua owners live in fear of them.

The measles outbreak in West Texas has spread to Mexico. The virus spread among members of the tight knit Mennonite community on both sides of the border - in Texas and Chihuahua, Mexico. It is thought due to travel by families or through sales of farm equipment.

To date, the State of Chihuahua in Mexico is now reporting over 1400 #measles cases, with 3 deaths: one adult, two children. The epidemic spread there from Texas. Our thoughts are with their families. (Article is in Spanish.)

We are so lucky that our state was able to keep us open for one more month while Republicans and Democrats in congress play keep-away with our resources. Had we been in another state, I would not have the opportunity to keep working. Our families wouldn't have us as a resource.

For older Cabbagetown houses: 1891/1901/1911 census records show 7, 8, 9 people per house. Depression era often 2 families per house. Today, two adults & a chihuahua with 4 bedrooms.

Kora & Loki came to me from being nosy about a grocery store conversation. 4 years after Tilly Mae, I wanted two dogs - didn't know until after I agreed that Kora was with pups. She gave birth on Labor Day, and we had an event to screen families and home them.
They carried me through the pandemic.

Cara Mendelsohn calls herself a “watchdog” for the city. But where has that gotten us? Crime is up and we receive the least amount of bond funding of all districts.

I’m no chihuahua. I’m more of a husky. Huskies work as a team. I’m here to unite, build, and deliver for working families.

Today I share my bestest girl Roxie. She came to us via multiple families from Tennessee. A long-haired, deer head Chihuahua. She has been my nurse these past few weeks. I swear she has Husky in her as she hates heat and lives for snow. She loves everyone she meets.

Dog families love their dogs but Chihuahua people are just on a whole nother level.

It's because they see so many whose families can't or won't provide extended care for elderly dogs. When I worked for my Vet, we had one girl, Olive, a senior Chihuahua whose mom did everything she could for her, then when she passed the cremation was difficult for her to pay for. I might have

Knock on the Door, an older man, dressed in a suit with vest, very Spaniard like. Younger gentleman with him.

They were looking for Spanish families to welcome as there has been an influx. He noted, that based on me, there were none here

I noted my dog, being a chihuahua, spoke more Spanish than I

Descendants of Apache who managed to stay in Mexico have preserved their cultural identity. Today, there are communities and families in states such as Chihuahua, Sonora, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, and Durango who identify as Apache (or N'dee/N'nee/Ndé, their own denomination meaning "the people").

And I say that if a chigger was the size of a Chihuahua -
It would be the meanest creature ever! They are some nasty bugs that I never had before until I went to visit our families in OK & TX.

I feel better because I went and read about the animals who survived the fire and got reunited with their families and one of them was a chihuahua so.

So I decided to continue on.

Thinking that just bc I’m not losing my shit and spiking my heart rate that I’m not paying attention to what’s going on in the world is insane leaping. I am a queer teacher that works with primarily Hispanic, low income, and military families. I’m like a chihuahua. I just have a good resting face.
