I didn't want to correct them right there that Chavacano as a creole language is distinct from codeswitching between Spanish, Tagalog, and Cebuano. Totally different grammar.
Just saw a couple wearing t-shirts in a Filipino restaurant (I'm here for a relative's b-day) that said "CHINGA VO' NANA" (the lady) and "COÑO VO' NANA" (the dude) and I busted out laughing so hard.

TBH the hardest part of going straight for me is that Lavender English is my native tongue so now I gotta learn how straight people speak but I'll be stuck codeswitching back into Lavender whenever I talk to my parents.

But I'm not going to get that good unless I'm speaking Spanish all the time, instead of codeswitching the way I do when I am at home, y'know? I have to be in context, in a totally Spanish speaking environment.
Gawd, I just want my Spanish to get that good, but it does seem it is blocked to me at LACCD. I have to get those AAs done first, and just do Advanced Spanish at a proper university instead of a community college. I was just trying to save a year's worth of money.
