Water has always been political in Wales. Westminster still holds powers over our water - which has direct consequences on our communities, from the bills we pay to the decisions about our waterways.
It’s time for Wales to have full control over such valuable resources.

Capel Celyn was a rural community to the north west of Bala in Gwynedd, Cymru, in the Afon Tryweryn valley. The village and other parts of the valley were flooded in 1965 to create a reservoir, Llyn Celyn, in order to supply Liverpool and Wirral with water for industry.

Context: the village and community of Capel Celyn in North Wales was infamously wiped out when the Tryweryn valley was flooded to build a reservoir to provide water for Liverpool in 1965.
Speaking on the 50th anniversary she recalled being met by an "awful" reception in Liverpool.
"People were spitting at us and throwing rotten tomatoes at us. It was an awful disappointment," she said.
