I think my favorite (derogatory) part of the Commander Players losing all shreds of sanity over Hybrid maybe changing is the Lorwyn conspiracy theory. Because:

I think the brain subconsciously contructs different mental models of reality from the sensory data we pull in each day, and automatically discards most of them as the models we act on get further reinforcement. Some of the files discarded get randomly flagged for personal review before deletion.

getting over that mental barrier has been huge for me. I’m not kidding when I say before Bsky I barely took photos of myself at all. Even now for every photo I post there about a million discards. I’ve had to just sort of post and stick with it, forcing myself not to delete. I never regret it.
