That’s true, too. But, I am an American who watches rightwing “news” to see what propaganda they are spreading today. Fox “News” and others frequently criticize NATO for not spending enough on defense. I think the Republicans just don’t want a unified force against imperialism and fascism.

Sure, but the point is that in the states that mattered, there was no dropoff in turnout - what happened was persuasion, not turnout. The alt-left is better regarded as irrelevant in elections than as either a wrecker force or an important component of the coalition to be reckoned with.

There’s a whole confusion of force with power with that’s inverted in this admin. If your authority is respected you have power. Power is backed by the implicit threat of force, but if you’re using force (or explicitly threatening to) all the time you’ve already lost your authority.

Well yeah they're obviously both opposed to something that would erode their monopoly on power.
Somewhat counterintuitively it would likely harm the Dems a lot less but it would decimate the GOP. RCV would force the DNC to build coalitions with other parties.

Really considering leaving my job before they force me out but they keep telling us they're about to issue a bunch of layoff notices but won't say exactly when, so I just keep picturing myself in a spaghetti western standoff with the entire US government
