Modern conservatism is only about two things: cruelty and greed. Cruelty to others, and greed for them. Every policy of theirs is in service to one or the other (usually both). Every single denial of this basic fact is a lie.
No conservative anywhere should ever be interviewed by anyone ever again by anyone unless they are offering testimony under oath. They should never be allowed to pretend they care about anything good or true or decent. If you identify as a conservative you should be presumed malicious.
