Ah, got it. Hmm, not sure if the funhole would qualify then... the space within it is mostly unncharted but IIRC the implication is that it's potentially infinite, although its intrusion into the regular world is in a very small space.

Would Kathe Koja's The Cipher qualify? The funhole only operates in a closet, but its internal space is unknown and definitely fucks with physics.

this all reminds me of how one of the only parts of The Cipher that really reads as dating it to the early 90s is how difficult it is for the characters to take photos or video of the funhole. nicholas stealing a video camera is a whole two or three chapter subplot!
