We try to grow bee friendly plants, they tend to be smaller #flowers but are beautiful just the same.

I must admit, I sometimes do wildlife gardening by stealth - sneaking in some few native plants, leaving wild bits at the back. My mother did say it looked great, but it was a bit like a jungle. I took this as a compliment!

Calendulas are easy to grow and great companion plants; but did you know the flowers are also edible? Mild and slightly peppery, they’re sometimes used as a saffron substitute and food dye. 🌱💚

The first snow in the Nantes area in quite some time! The greenhouse and garden have a new look! Inside, however, it remained frost-free for the tree ferns and other cold-sensitive plants. 🌱

COMIC: Tomato Plants

This year made me realize just how much I love gardening. I love working with my hands in the dirt. I love digging holes. I love pulling apart rootbound plants and imagining it feeling really nice for them. I love seeing mushrooms and finding worms and knowing that soil is alive.
Hating things is for chumps. Tell me about what you LOVE. And why. And what it means to you. I love hearing about people's passions. I don't give a good gotdamn about what you hate. 🖤

Lovely flower. I repotted about 6 plants on Christmas day & yesterday. ♥️Gardening is peaceful, satisfying & rejuvenating. Have loved gardening since I was 10 yrs old. Maybe I should try & do something with my natural inclination. Maybe a part time job in a nursery.

On this #ChristmasEve the first stock bloom is open. You wouldn’t think one flower could produce a scent but you would be wrong 🥰
