Littlefinger easily manipulated Cersei, sure. But he was blind to the consequences of marrying off Sansa to a known sadist. He was so in love with his own cleverness that he forgot that Sansa would not find it easy to forgive him for subjecting her to Ramsey.

think i broadly agree with this but with the addendum that Vance manages to be the most irritating of both worlds - he is probably convinced he is doing everything for the greater good of a white ethnostate but he is so self-satisfied with himself and thinks he's a Littlefinger for lying.
