Well that was just the only kind of beans I could find a gif of Scrooge McDuck diving into.

If you just finish the game without it you get a message wondering what the lost treasure was.

And if you end with $0 Glomgold is declared the new richest duck in the world, and Scrooge vows to reclaim his title.

Less than Scrooge McDuck but infinitely happier!

(Should have used "Mr. McDuck", but in Italian comics, and Italian translations of foreign comics, Gyro and Mickey call Scrooge by name and use the informal "you" when talking to him - honestly using the last name would feel weird to me at this point)

Thinking about changing my drag name to Temu Thée Chalamet, gang.
What do you think? Is that anything?
It's currently Cèilidh Minogue so I'm already at a pretty high water mark here.

I was gonna ask if he ever handled anything smaller than a $50 bill, but then the image of him diving for a penny like Scrooge McDuck was too easy to imagine.

Exactly. Show me the actual cash that man has in his Scroouge McDuck vault, or shut up about his theoretical riches..

They are, like, at Scrooge McDuck in the money vault levels of raiding their own supply
when you read this it is very clear that Wiles thinks she is flexing the administration's muscle. relatedly, it is also very clear that the White House is completely delusional about its standing with the public. they are high on their own supply.
Trump’s Inner Circle, On the Record (Part 2 of 2)
Susie Wiles discusses the Epstein files, Pete Hegseth’s war tactics, and “retribution” against Letitia James.

You play as Scrooge McDuck, the world's richest duck, and go on a globe spanning quest to infiltrate ancient ruins, find hidden treasures and become even richer. Kind of like Indiana Jones but thankfully way better than any of the Indiana Jones NES games.

I was shocked to find there are people who exist now who don’t know the phrase ‘Bah Humbug’, not even when prompted with Scrooge McDuck… Sigh…

Can't we have a Disney + animated movie about how Scrooge McDuck and Flintheart Glumgold became rivals instead of a fucking Gaston movie?
December 16, 2025 at 1:13 PM
Eh, regardless.

I think this is a scene that highlights the difference between Ebenezer Scrooge and Scrooge McDuck; it's a minor difference, but it's a difference that matters.

Looking back on it, this wouldn't be the first time they would do a 'A Christmas Carol'-thing with McDuck. In fact, in later adaptations (such as DuckTales 2017 and the comics), it apparently happens so often that it's become a tradition in and of itself.
December 16, 2025 at 12:17 PM
Obviously, this might not be in line with what Ebenezer would do, but this is VERY much in line with what Scrooge McDuck would do; he may be greedy and money-grubbing, but you get the sense that there is a good heart in there, even if it doesn't always show.
December 16, 2025 at 12:07 PM
It's a pretty harsh scene, showing that Scrooge has nothing but distain for his fellow man, and would much rather see people die than help them out.

Obviously, that's perhaps a little TOO harsh for this adaptation, even for someone like Scrooge McDuck.

Residents of the Burg aren't that trusting of computers or banks. Residents of the Burg like paper. My relatives hoard canceled checks like Scrooge McDuck hoards quarters.
