FWIW, I am interviewing (as usual, outstanding, blow me out of the water) #medicalschool candidates today, and every single one is a first-generation #immigrant and would not be here under Miller's policies.

First, the mechanics.

I am at a #medicalschool and quantity+quality generally both matter. Medical journal papers tend to be shorter (3,000) and there is a "Top 5" of sorts.

The general advice I was given was 5-10 first or last authored papers a year.

Yes, she's awesome! Actually fact they are mostly women is less surprising, there are far, far more #women in #medicalschool and as junior (<40 yo) #physicians these days than men. Maybe also because women have a bit more of a spine, but demographics also favor white women as doctors these days
