I'll have to check out the new demo sometime - the original really impressed me, especially in its environments. The whole thing feels like Tsutomu Nihei (Blame!, etc) filtered through a European comic lens.

right now i’d describe tower dungeon as like, the anti-frieren. where its fantasy world and structures and lore are so much bigger than any individual character in it. and also there’s nihei-style fanservice and catgirls

Reading Tower Dungeon is so cool because Tsutomu Nihei, a mangaka known for sci-fi superstructure stories, asks "what if you made a superstructure out of brick instead?" and it's awesome.

I do like that he brought Nihei back. I feel like he really felt bad over killing him off so early on in Golden Kamuy and just wanted to have more time with him in this next go around

Another new series and another art style change from Nihei. It is a far departure from Blame! and Abara, but I like it. Loads of characters with weird names, cool designs and ideas abound.
My only concern is he might wrap it up in 5 chapters at any given moment.

Intriguing art and designs. Story feels more fleshed out than most of Nihei's other work, but as usual when it gets to the ending, it misses the mark. A final battle happens between 2 pages for some reason.
Nihei is an idea's man, but his execution is sometimes lacking.
