Another productive slot option. Would love for them to prioritize productivity for their offensive skill spots. They brought in a group of receivers last year who were depth options at their previous stops. Made no sense when they needed a starter.

(this should also lead you to consider that younger people are mechanically less productive, so simply labour productivity stats can be skewed)

Is this mostly

1) changes in fraction of population that is prime working age
2) lower income countries catching up and slowing down
3) third thing? (Slower growth in per worker productivity??)

Any idea why Ireland is such an outlier in that data? I am guessing it's not due to actual labor productivity

Just launched a browser extension that transforms how I watch AI and tech content on YouTube. It’s a game changer for productivity! Curious? #i18n #localization #webdev LINK

The real solution would be for Britain to join Schengen.

We will save £5 billion per year.

And increase productivity and saving time, millions of hours per year etc.

Ludd Is a man who corporate propaganda would tell you lost against the march of technology

This is the truth you will hear and be educated

...

This is not who he was

The luddite movement largely wanted wages and protections to scale with productivity

Because you know looms ate children

I am not a big fan of Christmas. I feel it’s socially isolating for a lot of people. Also it’s several weeks of lost productivity it would be better to break that out over the 12 months so not everyone is burnt out by December.

Shedding their shell to go be evil somewhere else. Let’s not gloss over that project 2025 is a manual on how to systematically destroy our government. A traitorous pursuit.

In the modern era of productivity that exceeds our needs, conservatism is immoral and obsolete.

Important work using U.S. tax data shows businesses have absorbed minimum wage increases without affecting employment, and through higher revenue-likely reflecting price & productivity offsets. Also shows how reallocation towards more productive firms offers another margin of adjustment.

I hope the year end bring you what you need the most

GDP growth does not automatically translate into better lives for everyone. Lately, the opposite has been true — productivity is up but so is unemployment

Paul Krugman (Nobel-winning economist; columnist)
Core claim: rich, high-productivity places should build more housing; restrictive land-use policy “strangles growth,” and more building is central to affordability (and helps with homelessness and opportunity).

AI productivity means we can lower the retirement age to 60 without breaking the system.

We have more output with fewer workers.

The math changed. Our policy have not yet.

I am taking today and tomorrow to rest and recover. I've had to stop myself two separate times today from coding, checking emails, and writing. It feels like I should be productive, but it I should be celebrating.

In a world that is addicted to productivity, please rest. Your body needs it. <3

Sitting on the train is peak productivity for me also. I never work harder than I do in a Stile Coupé, from the south back to Leeuwarden. Absolutely locked in.

i think the end of the year is getting to me because i'm just reflecting on how horrible my productivity has become

doesnt help that new year's eve is my birthday so, y'know. getting older and getting to think about how much of this year i wasted

AI Thought Experiment

50% less white collar jobs -> 50% less productivity SaaS apps needed (slack, gmail, notion, jira, msft word...)

Once company downsizes -> businesses that depend on said companies "growing in size" also lose.

AI doesn't need Slack, Jira, etc.

What now?

Germans have a reputation for being good at economy when actually they are good at exports. France has higher productivity per worker hour, on par with US.

If all I manage today is love and presence, that’s enough.

Not productivity. Not perfection. Just showing up with an open heart.

Being here. Paying attention. Letting the moment be what it is.

Truly… that’s more than enough. 🎄💛
