#semiautobiographical
do be aware that it's rather heavy in tone. abuse, police abuse, homophobia, misogyny. it's a semiautobiographical account of life as a butch during that time.

Here are some pages from this semiautobiographical book, which "[b]eautifully tackles complex friendships, sibling dynamics, racial identity, and gender expression", thank you School Library Journal,,,

It’s a time capsule. Cheese & all. Semiautobiographical art piece. He was a musical genius. Questionable fashion choices. Tragically heavy 70s influence. #Legend #EpicHalfTimePurpleRainShow

If I wanted to peruse the associative hyperfixations of a sickly nerd (similar to myself), I would re-read Proust, which I am currently doing. But even in his semiautobiographical extended masturbatory masterpiece, he threads the needle of each major topic and weaves them together.

When he was 44, Allen played a man “dating” a 17 year old girl in his film Manhattan - and he was very open about it being a semiautobiographical account of himself at age 42 when he “dated” a 16 year old employee who worked on his previous film, Annie Hall.

Mendieta created a unique genre by using the natural world and her own body as the medium for her art, connecting the human form with the earth. Her work is semiautobiographical, drawing on her experiences as a refugee from Cuba and dealing with the trauma of being torn from her homeland. /4

'People always ask me "where do you take inspiration from your erotica", like my most recent work: "The Girl Who's Tits Were So Big and Perfect That Everyone Was Incapable of Seeing Her as Anything Other Than a Slut to Play With and Abuse", and I must admit they're at times, semiautobiographical-'
Today:
One of my bullies has decided we should have "nice chaste dates full of makeouts and dry humping and edging me with her mouth"
Another threatened to force me to cum and fail my month of chastity so all my other bullies would punish me
"wow Fe it must be so nice being a community owned slut with so many bullies to take care of you" one of them isn't going to let me cum all month and another one ordered 26(TWENTY SIX!!!!) edges between Monday and this afternoon 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 a great start to a month of not cumming😖

Lmao it's just a line! It's very funny to me to see people quote this in earnest like KURT VONNEGUT of all people eschewed profanity and obscenity lmao HE PUT A TIME TRAVELING SPACE ALIEN SEX ZOO IN HIS SEMIAUTOBIOGRAPHICAL WW2 HORRORS BOOK LMAO
To be fair to Kirk Vonnegut, the inventor of Galapagos lmao, this is just a line from Hocus Pocus and clearly does not represent his actual artistic mindset

1. How Macbeth is not a paean to the Stuarts but a nuanced exploration of the joining of England and Scotland.
2. The secret life of Lloyd Dobler/Martin Blank/Brand Hauser.
3. Why so many semiautobiographical books by women include a man saying "write what you know" sparking her writing career.

I'm in the same boat. I have some memories of the facts of my life, but most of them are due to photographs I'm in. I don't re-live memories.

I recently wrote a semiautobiographical novella - some of the outline is based on things I know about my past, but I had to invent almost all the details...

At the time, I liked Zach and Miri – it was a sweet film, and the semiautobiographical tone kind of worked. As a retread of his past, I liked it better than J&SSB. His artistic arrested development is a shame, though it could be that he kept repeating himself because simply had nothing else to say.

From the Washington Post: "Edmund White, a father of modern queer literature who literally wrote the book on gay sex, and who blended honesty and humor in a trilogy of semiautobiographical novels that traced the trajectory of gay life in the 20th century..." www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2...
Edmund White, acclaimed novelist of gay life, dies at 85
