Informative story about "public insurance adjusters." Folks who will help you with insurance claims who do not work for the insurance company. Something I didn't know about until reading this from @thebaffler.com
Blame and Claim | Tyler Maroney
A public adjuster is part private detective, part lawyer, part psychologist.

By the way, I actually work as a professional beta reader, so I’m really used to giving detailed feedback on story structure, pacing, and character development. I’d love to help if you ever want a second pair of eyes on your work.

Working on a Planescape campaign and I am trying to take the opportunity to go big and weird as the setting encourages, but as a Planescape Torment fan I can't help but keep making the story grounded and low key.

Putting in text based mainly based on the story can help the flavor, but it also means that it takes longer for players to be able to access gameplay information. Since important gameplay information and story is formatted the same it takes a bit of reading to figure out what you need to do.

I don't want to post this, but there's been a bit of a predicament happening with my family right now that I can't explain at this time. It's a very long story

For now, I'll just leave my Ko-fi here if you want to help me and my family get by 💙💜💙

a new clothes style story where it's pride of thinking you don't need help is more philosophically sound than "I'm gonna pretend to agree to not fuck with your life and lie to you--well now we're friends so now the promise is fine, no conflict hardly as a result, huzzah"
it's not exactly Goofy Movie

That is literally him. And I can't help but for me the whole set-up spins the story in completely different direction.

(And as this article is from 2024, I'm surprised FT is that late jumping on this clickbaity nonsense.)

Absolutely. It’s goofy kids stuff. It certainly doesn’t need any help from my dopey art style/story.

Keep trying. You are still good!
I am writing a book that I have thought about for 60 years.
I will finish it. I finally figured out an ending to the story with the help of the people around me who love me.
We all need to keep trying. Find a way to keep drawing.
You are an artist. Keep going.

i explored the idea a little with Claude, not sure if i want to build it but this is the direction my mind was pointed in

Apparently if it had been a TV show, he also wanted his MC to be a black woman, but as a book you have to write the inner voice and he would not have gotten that right

I get the feeling he planned to see who got the role and retool the back story and interactions accordingly, with her help

@naomiaklein.bsky.social Could you help my family by sharing our story, or at least taking a moment to read it? Thank you ♥️

It doesn't help that I'm dealing with a lot going on medically atm (its a long story that I don't talk about often) and I just don't have the energy for much anymore.

idk sorry for the long winded sob story... just very stressed and tired.

My wife and I play all the time. Real fun gameplay and once you get to later parts of the story it’s pretty good. Free to play and you don’t have to spend any money to unlock anything. It’s a fun trip but does have somewhat of a learning curve. If you need help with anything just let me know!

I don't fully accept his apology, from a scientific backed perspective, but I hope his story encourages more people to get tested for mental health problems because part of the rise in conservatism is the lack of seeking help combined with poor public messaging & the distrust of modern medical care.
January 29, 2026 at 7:35 AM
I know it would be risky. I know I'd be sued, no matter how clear I am that it's a fictionalization based on the premise that "this version of the story is true somewhere in the multiverse, just maybe not your world." I can't help but think making them a good yarn would give the scandals visibility.

Rod didn’t mean to kill anybody but once he did, he knew who to call to help him.

Anti hero military veterans clash with organised crime groups already involved in a turf war.

It is a fast paced story with brutal action and tough dialogue.
