The humble village necromancer’s temple. The design mimics the tiered shape of reality itself. The world tree above ascends to the heavens, and beneath it all, the stone chamber of the underworld, where the necromancer does his work…

O Sarilho is sort of a love letter to my homeland and yet somehow it's also about future romans, fascism and aliens?🌟

It's Tuesday and here's your weekly reminder that you too can help the comic by buying me a ko-fi ☕

Claire Kinsella is Cass' ever friendly and often put upon neighbour. A housebound translator for the monolithic Pepto-Kotch corporation, Claire does her best to get by on a working class wage as all she wants is the best for her two Venus Fly Traps Holly and Queeg.

Had an absolutely crazy dream last night that I was watching a Red Dwarf reboot, but the twist was that it was all still the original cast, just playing the characters as the age they are now when the events of the first episode happen. And the craziest part is it actually worked.

I also think one of the reasons people get weirdly defensive about Rogue One is because they feel as though it is something they can show to non Star Wars fans and still be taken seriously.

Never thought about it that much, but, yeah, what even is her character arc?
Jyn goes from completely cynical to repeating back Andor's "rebellions are built on hope" in the span of her being betrayed by the people she was already cynical about in the first place. I don't know how people defend this writing.

Rogue One has the reputation it does because its third act is so good that it tricks people into thinking the first two thirds of the film are equally as good. I challenge anyone to admit that they'd happily just watch the Jedha portions of the film in isolation.
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

yes i have seen ANDOR, no it does not “make it better” because any given film should be evaluated on its own as a standalone text.

i would push rogue one down and bring solo and the last jedi up. i’d also place attack of the clones at the bottom.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

Well, I finally finished Pillars of Eternity 2. As you have probably guessed from my previous griping, I thought it was a pretty well put together RPG held back by wholly unnecessary levels of bloat, with the saving grace being its three strong DLC stories that are nice little linear adventures.

But the issue that we have is that capitalism doesn't coordinate effort to ensure a better outcome for all, we're not all getting up at 7am to ensure everyone is healthy, well fed and able to enjoy their life, we're getting up at 7am to work the feedslop machine at the Torment Nexus
“Capitalism forces you to wake up at 7am against your body’s natural rhythms” no that’s Taylorism and if you don’t like living in a society that coordinates effort to ensure a better outcome for all then I don’t think you’ll love the alternatives
