I also call bullshit on them making $13 billion this year, as I call bullshit that OpenAI made $1.58bn in the space of a month. Also isn’t it weird that OpenAI is mysteriously raising this huge round but we don’t know…anybody in it? Other than maybe Amazon? Is this leak meant to be an advert?
The decade-old AI developer can tout that revenue that has been growing quickly. By last month it was generating $19 billion in annualized revenue, putting it on track to hit its goal of $20 billion in annualized revenue by the end of the year. The company is also on track to beat its 2025 total revenue goal of $13 billion, up from around $4 billion last year, according to one of the people. That figure should rise to $30 billion next year—and around $200 billion by 2030—on increased sales of ChatGPT subscriptions and new products, which could include advertising.

Page one of my comic. The title "Bitter Cold" is at the top, and my handle @neo-kajatrash is next to it. The first panel is Copperwell with a huge fir-lined coat on his shoulders (which he has for the entire comic), and he's cast in a dramatic blue light with snow sweeping past him. Underneath him is a splash panel of the city of Kezan in a much warmer, sepia-toned light (which the Kezan scenes stays for the entire comic) from a high point where you can see a lot of it. The text is in boxes. The first one says "Kameron Copperwell..." And the second one says "...What have you done?" Page two of my comic. We zoom into the city to see Copperwell as a child, young brother Rusty, even younger sister Maxine, and mother Nixie. Copperwell is shrugging with a big smile. He says "What~?" "I didn't do nothin'!" With crossed arms, his mom says "I said not to pierce your ears until your birthday." (note: Copperwell's ears are indeed pierced) Copperwell says "But--it's only next week!" Rusty, in sign language, says "I told him not to." Their mother rolls her eyes with a grin, and says "Thank you, Rusty." "Well... I wonder if you want your birthday dinner early, too." Copperwell, now walking next to his siblings and mom, says "Yay!!" In the last panel, we see their silhouettes in the foreground, with Copperwell's adult self lingering behind them. He's standing under a street lamp that has a harsh blue glow, casting him in a completely different light than the otherwise warm scene. The final box says "You just get away with everything..." Page three of my comic. We zoom in on Copperwell's frowning face, and when we zoom back out we see him sitting at the family dinner table in his childhood home. They're having seafood pasta, and all are smiling except for adult Copperwell--who is still cast in a hard blue light from the window behind him. The box of text at the top says "...Don't you, Kameron?" The front door opens, with the sound effect "fooosh" as a gust of snowy wind rushes in. Adult Copperwell looks over warily to see two large yellow eyes in the darkness beyond the door, saying "Kameron..." Suddenly, we see each family member sitting happily in the foreground, with the bad final memories of each of them filling the panels behind them. A bigger gust of snow sweeps across them. Maxine drowns (a teen in this moment), Nixie leaves on a ship never to return, and Rusty (as an adult) is turning away, beyond hurt and beyond furious. Copperwell yells "W-wait--!" "Don't go!" His eye snaps open as he wakes from his dream. He shouts "NO--!" and we see him wrapped up in his fluffy pink coat in a blue darkness. Someone has opened a door behind him, and with a "..." he turns with a sour frown to see them. Page four of my comic. The goblin Saul is standing in the doorway wearing warm clothes, and we can see now that Copperwell is huddled in the corner of a cabin. The wood stove is in place, but nearly everything else--such as the bed, kettle, stool, and picture frame--are tossed around and broken. A window from behind Copperwell glows a sharp blue. Saul says "...I brought some warm clothes." Copperwell, with tears in his eyes and a hard glare, looks away and says "I... I want to go home." Saul, who we see is holding the folded clothes he mentioned, answers him with a serious expression. "No. I ain't letting you go back. Not to destroy yourself." "And you know I took care of things in Bilgewater." Copperwell, with a tear down his cheek, says, "Not. Bilgewater." "..." "Kezan." With the last dialogue, we see that they're in a quaint cabin among trees and snow, with sweeping, snowy wind blowing across the frame. In the distance is the town of Everlook, which tells us that they're in Winterspring.

anyway…. i’m gonna be thinking about Hbomberguy’s Letterboxed review of Tank Girl forever maybe, I can’t believe we both had the exact same tank girl experience at 17, fun, transgressive art for little grungy punk teens is the best (though I also realized how deeply I was attracted to women)
Watched 17 June 2010 Whenever Tank Girl somehow managed to poke itself into a conversation in high school, someone would always feel forced to mention the movie was bad. The person saying this had, invariably, never seen it. They knew it was bad, though. Like an ancestral memory, they knew instinctively the film which came out when they were 2 had sucked. Maybe a parent had seen it, or an uncle. Or they'd been on thatguywiththeglasses.com and seen that man with those glasses shriek that it was bad, while pretending to fire a plastic gun at the screen. I always thought 'that's weird. normally people have seen the movie before they say these things.' One day when I was 17 and I was up late with insomnia yet again, I watched it. My belief in the human spirit was permanently altered, for better and worse. Tank Girl is amazing! It was fun! It was exactly the sort of thing a teenager my age and mindset needed to see in that exact moment. It was, dare I say, completely perfect, for that night in 2010. The idea someone could make a movie like that in 1995, that those people walked among us, brought me no end of joy. You're not alone. Your people are out there. We're going to be okay. Except...that means you spend every day knowing people will lie to your face, and they don't even know it. They don't even watch the things they talk about. They just play word-games with half-remembered rotten tomatoes scores and metacritic summaries. They IMAGINE an opinion at you. And if people can be so obviously wrong about this, how can you trust them to have such certain opinions about economic systems, global conflicts, or medicine? A great maw opens in the Earth and threatens to swallow you whole. It was so easy before, to assume the people around you were generally right. Now you don't know. You don't even know if you can trust yourself any more. How many things did I really form an opinion about, by myself? You have to start from scratch, watch everything, read everything, think about everything. That night, my life started. Was I radicalized by a movie where a girl fucks a talking kangaroo? Oh, I'm sorry, was there a more convenient movie to be radicalized by? Bicycle Thieves? Well, they steal a Tank, in this one, and that's better, in my opinion. Tank Girl remains a testament to the untrustworthiness of the human animal, but also to what we can achieve if we try. It is a total certainty that someone who has seen Tank Girl has blown up an oil pipeline, and I think that's a beautiful thing.

I spent yesterday talking to people about Stargate, including the novels (which SO MANY PEOPLE don't even know exist! I felt like I was giving the show back to them in a way), and how lucky I am to have been asked to essentially write seven "episodes" (short stories are one episode, novels are 2-3).
Especially THIS STORY. I got to write my favorite character's origin story! They invited authors, and let them choose who they wrote about. I was positive someone had already claimed Janet but I tried anyway and I GOT HER. I dug out an old companion I had where Teryl Rothery gave her own version of Janet's backstory, and I used that as a base. So I feel like I collaborated with her on it. This was the only collection where they told me what to write. I think. I'm pretty sure the plot came from them. Either way, it was the early days where I was still kind of "for-hire" and not coming up with my own ideas. Which was fine! Happy to be a worker bee. But I'm so much prouder, obviously, of the ones where they just let me do whatever I thought of. My story in this is called THEY SHOOT HEROES, DON'T THEY as a joke I put in as a placeholder until I thought of a real title. I eventually DID come up with a proper title, but I sent in the wrong file and ... well, history was locked in. I'm still happy with it, I'm just shocked they didn't ask me to change it. A dream that was so batshit insane and unbelievable I didn't even put it on my ultimate writing goals list. I never thought it would be possible to write SG-1 stuff, not for real, not in an "approved by MGM" way. One of my proudest achievements (and oh, so many reviews from my fellow SG-1 fans saying the books feel like "lost episodes"... the highest compliment!)

Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee has responded to actor Andrew Garfield's recent what-if scenario in which Peter Parker could be gay or bisexual, joking, "I figure one sex is enough for anybody." Appearing over the weekend at Fandomfest in Louisville, Kentucky, the 90-year-old comics legend appeared caught off-guard by a question from the audience about Garfield's "request to make Spider-Man bisexual and Mary Jane male." Lee initially offered a glowing assessment of the actor's performance in The Amazing Spider-Man, before the question was explained to him. "He's becoming bisexual?" Lee exclaimed in disbelief, eliciting roars of laughter from the audience. "Who have you been talking to? Seriously, I don't know anything about that. And if it's true, I'm going to make a couple of phone calls. I figure one sex is enough for anybody." Garfield, who's filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, sparked a good deal of discussion among comics fans when he related a conversation with a producer in which he said, "I was kind of joking, but kind of not joking about MJ. And I was like, 'What if MJ is a dude?' Why can't we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It's hardly even groundbreaking! ... So why can't he be gay? Why can't he be into boys?" The actor expanded on his comments at Comic-Con International, explaining, "Listen, what I said in that Entertainment Weekly interview was a question. It was just a simple, philosophical question about sexual orientation, about prejudice. I obviously long for the time where sexual orientation, skin color, is a small thread in the fabric of a human being, and all men are created equal -- and women, sorry, women as well. To speak to the idea of me and Michael B. Jordan getting together, it was tongue in cheek, absolutely tongue in cheek. It would be illogical for me in the third movie to be like, you know what? I'm kind of attracted to guys. That's just not going to work. That's clear.

I had some holes to fill where art got taken down this summer, and I finally felt up to filling the one in the living room. I'm trying this novel new concept called "keeping and hanging up my own art" (mine is in the upper right, other artists are credited in alt text)

On the bottom left is a painting by Leif Larson called Noah's ark. It depicts all of the people left behind to die in the flood in an abstract style. Next to it is a very abstract painting made using many colors of paint and strategic taping to create odd stripes and squares. My friend Liam gave it to us as a housewarming present and said it didn't have a title but I call it number four. To the right of that, you see an abstract painting that kind of looks like a Tom waits song of a gray skeletal. Rocky North 1994 PATRON NORTH® Watched Dec 16, 2025 RIP Rob Reiner. Every once in a while a movie is released at a time when audiences aren't ready to receive it. Many of my favorite movies were commercial failures, simply misunderstood in the context of the zeitgeist. North is not one of those movies. I've been curious about North for a minute because of the viral clip of Roger Ebert talking about how he used the word "hated" 9 times in the opening paragraph of his review. "How bad could it really be?" I thought. Rob Reiner was a highly competent filmmaker who made critically acclaimed films across genres. Surely, there's some charm to this one that other people missed. I'm typically quite soft on movies. I gave Madame Web some praise purely because it was so stupid it charmed me. Needless to say, I'm always looking for the good in whatever I watch. I love to intellectualize the jingling keys. Unfortunately, in this scenario, I'm going to have to agree with Roger Ebert's assessment, there's not much to like about this movie. Competently made is probably the highest praise you can give it. From the outset, the premise is bizarre. North is really special apparently. All the kids love him apparently. We don't really see examples of this but we are told about it a lot. North's parents are busy with work or something and they aren't giving him the attention he needs. He needs this attention so he can continue being the most well-liked, athletic, and brainy kid... on the planet, I guess? Idk, it's apparent to me that this whole movie is going for this over-the-top mind of a child type aesthetic, but it never really lands. Anyway, North decides to become a "free agent" so he can find a new family that can more appropriately set him up for future success. The editor of his elementary School newspaper contracts a lawyer who in turn helps North win a case, allowing him to shop around for a new family. Families across the country take notice and begin trying to recruit North to be their new son. Meanwhile, the kid who helped North achieve Free Agent status becomes some sort of fascist business mogul off the back of the case. Determined to literally murder North if he doesn't pick a new family, since it would be bad for business. Are you seeing the problem here? Sure, it's a wacky premise e9e9e, but it's such an outlandish and selfish concept that you never have any reason to root for North or hope that he has a character arc. Instead, the movie is over before it begins, never quite reaching a compelling narrative. It seems like they know it too because as soon as North introduces its core conceit (which is lightning fast) it devolves into an extended montage. Heavily relying on stereotypical depictions of various American subcultures. It wants these things to be funny but it is overly reliant on dialogue. Everyone talks way too fucking much! It is occasionally funny in spite of itself and only in a way where you're laughing at what a ridiculous choice they made. This movie is all tell and no show, despite having many beautiful frames. Again, they seem to be aware of this? At one point North walks through many beautiful set pieces only to end up sitting on a reclining chair in a department store. I could talk endlessly about the weird choices in this movie. I knew I wanted to watch something by Rob Reiner tonight, and I gravitated towards this movie because I knew how critically panned it was. I always try to give everything I watch an honest shot and an open mind, but unfortunately it doesn't always work out for the best. That said, I don't think the problem with this movie is Rob Reiner. The cast is absolutely stacked with talent. The production is polished. Every part of this thing that could be made well was, but holy shit no amount of polish could fix the abysmal script. It is confounding as a work, though. I want to know how this happened. How did this thing pass so many sniff tests and end up this way? I always enjoy how a bad movie can sometimes make me think way more than a good one can, as exemplified by this long and rambling review. So, thank you, Rob Reiner. North isn't good but it taught me something regardless.

In a way why she lost doesn’t matter, which is another reason the grief holds.

And you know, I think got Gallway talks about this. There's an idea generally that men are fine dating sociod economically equal or down, and women dien'ally want to date equal or up. So it reduces the amount of partners available for men who can't get on the economic ladder, which makes them more disengaged and more. You know, it's a it's a snowball effect. Again, it's not women's fault, but this is this is what's happening, and it creates this simmering misogyny in online spaces, and it creates this But it comes back to economics. Is all I can say over and over again is it comes back to economics. And again, if I could spoil it down to one word, it's like radicalism is when no house, if you can't get a house, if you don't see a path. get a house, if you don't see a path. Speaker 1 Some of them are working, they're working decent jobs, they're working hard. It's not even feasible in a lot of these cities to ever get a house. If once you feel like you can get on that ladder, you're okay, you can calm down, you can find a party, you can vote. But if you can't see that, it's what's the point. Why am I doing it? The misogyny Okay, here's the thing about consecration is you have a direct financial incentive at all times to feed into people's resentment and to feed into their anger, and to feed into it is just the way the algorithms work. I thought about this deeply in the wake of Charlie Kirkhouse, thinking about what I wanted to say, and I was looking around the internet, and I realized, it doesn't matter what I say, It'll just be fed to the person that agrees with me. It doesn't if I say something that pisces somebody off, they'll never see it again. Speaker 3 It'll it'll go into the void. We are going through an algorithm that just decides what you want to see. So in that case, there is a strong financial incentive to tell people who can't find a house or a partner that it's immigrant's fault, or it's women's fault, or it's you whoever it's or it's the woke mind virus or what they'll tell you, it's someone's fault. And that's very comforting. Speaker 1 Yeah, it's very very comforting if you're in that spot to have an enemy, to have someone you can rally around and get angry at and again on the space I'm in in Twitch, the most right wing aspects of Twitch are mostly talking about how man, these people are ruining gaming, you know, because it's people want to play games. They'll be like, oh, there's there's these female characters lead it in leading the game, and it's like, again, this is a tiny problem, but it unites these people them in the rally around, and so.

I think it's up to you to decide what date is significant for you and is one you can remember.

I don't know when I first came out minus knowing it was approx like 16 years ago, so I usually go by my first hormone dosage which was 27 May 2015 because I have a documented exact day/year for that.

So it's super neat and satisfying that my two special interests/fandoms are literally canon in same universe or at least close enough! Super fun for me and super fun for my OC. 3. I just finished reading the part where Mira heads to the club in boots and a whip, thinking she’s just in for a night of fun and ends up caught between a hot submissive and a supernatural war. Honestly, I had to double-check that Bound by the Blood wasn’t an HBO pilot waiting to happen. Seriously, you write like someone who invented genre fusion in a lab: urban fantasy, BDSM romance, and cosmic sex magic all rolled into one decadent, dangerous package. If readers handed out medals for “books that deserve a trigger warning and a theology degree,” Bound by the Blood would have its own altar. Which makes it even more criminal that Amazon’s treating your book like it’s under a censorship spell. A few reviews, buried discoverability, and algorithms that don’t know what to do with a story this original? That’s not just unfair, it’s practically sacrilege. I’m Jessica, a book-review community curator (not a “marketing guru” who charges more than a new whip 😅). I run a little underground club of 900+ unapologetic readers who live for smart, fearless, genre-bending fiction. I read your blurb and instantly thought: oh no, my readers are going to lose their collective minds if they don’t get their hands on this.

Police and Aaron's convo. This is my Favorite because, They look super closely related in someway. I somehow made Police more Fatherly, Instead of cold or rude unlike most who drew him. Which sounds stereotypical and wrong I don't know of Aaron is the name, For this Hammerbarn Employee here. But I prefer his name "Aaron", Cuz it suits his appearance and polite manner. I prefer them chatting on a Parking Lot, Because that's how Hammerbarn Employees and Police even go to chat. Outside their hours Stripe Heeler and Busker also seems related. Since they both have energetic personalities. Both are a little bit outgoing and expressive, So that kinda makes them closely connected With Stripe Asks Busker to join his family, And Busker eagerly accepts Stripe's request People should make more like this From this one, These are Fathers of Gruber and Jack. Jack's Dad being a curious one, And Gruber's Dad being to explain his agenda. Plus, This is different. I've made my own Model for Gruber's Dad. Since other kinds are not so real. So yeah, I made this one by myself. Them in elsewhere of Nature This one is Rusty's Dad with Sonny I kinda don't know if Sonny is the name, of this Hammerbarn Employee. I just had to choose it I also prefer Rusty's Dad to be different too. I made him more Kindhearted and gentle. as a Caring Soldier. Even supportive towards Sonny, Seeing how burnt out Sonny looks. Instead of him as Arrogant and Manly unlike most, Who drew him like that as a Strict Soldier. Which sounds Stereotypical and wrong.
