PNG will join the NRL in 2028. So a test now would be like a team weaker than the weakest NRL side playing the 13 top NRL players eligible for Australia.

I don't know about PNG! Apparently this is a traditional game held every year at this time. The difference between the PM's XIII side and the test side is the test side would be stronger by several orders of magnitude. PNG would be obliterated in a test. So it makes it somewhat competitive.

People gave a record amount of money to multiple organizations for the people of Gaza and all this money just sat there for the past 2 years because Israel blocked it. I hope this money gets distributed quickly now so that the people of Gaza don't have to beg anymore

PNG did well to hold Australia to a 28-10 victory so it wasn't the big scoring game everyone was expecting. Unfortunately it was a bit dull to watch!

Just like coal seam gas a decade a go. They come in promising construction jobs but all the workers are from outside the area. They build the things and then a few people in a capital city operate it remotely. No enduring benefits, only costs.

Mr China coming in hard with the first of the traditional and *stunning* looks. There's just the right element of cosplay to the look, the colours are stunning and we love a weapon as a prop in Mister Global (fnar). Although the shoe looks oddly clunky. Minor quibble though.

I find it impossible to make aesthetic judgments about Taylor Swift. There's a quality of candor in her delivery that bypasses the whole "art" thing and causes me to respond as if the song were a person (who I happen to like). I know this is itself a staged effect? But that doesn't help.

Sky News host Rita Panahi has blasted Victoria which is in the midst of a “record-breaking crime wave” as ordinary citizens become “increasingly terrified”.

Ms Panahi looked at some “stunning” statistics from Queensland, which show the Crisafulli’s tough on crime policies are working.

“Queensland has shown that there is another way,” Ms Panahi said.

“Instead of harebrained schemes like machete bins or raising the age of criminal responsibility, Queensland has got tough on crime and criminals, and the results speak for themselves.”
