You've got to wonder if they are so willing to obviously break international law here, what laws are they breaking that we haven't found out about yet.
The Pentagon officials, in a classified briefing, acknowledged they don’t know the identities of the people they’re killing and can’t meet the evidentiary burden to prosecute survivors.

Don't let the conflict (botz) get your goat. There are so many influence campaigns. Monied ones. Chaos ones. Targeted ones. Organized ones. They will attack key words. Normal people can and do lash out at bad/sad info on sm- but any kind of new traction/attention that seems coordinated, probably is.

Imagine hating your own city so much you call celebrating winning the World Series “unlawful assembly.”

Literal fun police. ACAB.
Los Angeles, CA -

LAPD has commanded The Douglas, the nearest bar to Dodger Stadium to turn off the televisions. They are now calling unlawful assembly, though as far as I can tell the only signs of anything are people on the sidewalk. It is the 9th inning.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

It’s very strange to repeatedly see Democratic “strategists” observe that the party is widely seen as focusing on identity politics—in spite of the Harris campaign largely avoiding them —and concluding this is a problem with party priorities and not with losing voters to misinformation.
Perpetrators must not be a minority or liberal/leftists enough for the billionaire led media to frame as antifa.

Meanwhile, in South Korea: "Starting at the end of November, public parking lots with more than 80 spaces will be required to install solar power generation facilities. This obligation applies not only to newly constructed parking lots but also to existing ones."

I hate the term ‘broken home’ so much. It’s irritating that some people are still using it. What’s broken is a social system that blindly stigmatises victims of abuse with terms like this.
I'm sure he'll find some fascists to fluff soon enough.

Interesting piece by @noamscheiber.bsky.social but it's odd that the only example he used to back up an assertion that @aarongreenspan.com can sound like a conspiracy theorist is this

We're finally seeing a bit of headway in learning how the Kremlin bankrolls Nigel Farage and his inner gang as well as his political projects like Brexit and Reform UK. This has been well known to intelligence analysts for more than a decade, but very little of it has made its way into the press.

In the eyes of the establishment, there’s literally nothing Mamdani can do to prove he’s not an antisemite, and literally nothing the openly fascist trump regime can do to prove they are, up to and including intentionally dressing like literal, historical Nazis

Some of you may have noticed that I was profiled in the New York Times yesterday (October 31).

I will have a lot to say about the article eventually.

But I would like to note that they changed it today (November 1) without issuing a correction.

Everyone else in NYC who is half paying attention knows what Zohran is promising to do. No one knows what Cuomo would do. You may not believe Zohran can deliver but you can say what he is promising.
Also, SOME of what they consider to be "intellectual disabilities," at least in the past, were things like: delayed language acquisition, speech/hearing impediments, sensory overload during whatever ”intellectual” assessment/testing was performed, learning style differences never being accommodated.

I just want to say that there is absolutely NO REASON for anybody in America to starve,

other than the chicanery of politicians who see human beings as checkers pieces.

FUCK the GOP and all the misery it is fomenting.

Seriously.

So Andrew Cuomo posts this tweet saying that Curtis Sliwa was campaigning for Mamdani in March.

That’s a lie.

All mayoral candidates, except for Cuomo, gathered at a memorial for Covid deaths and to denounce Cuomo’s nursing home deaths.

When people get all spun up saying, "Tr*mp is escalating. Things are about to get much worse!!!" No shit. He's using a predictable playbook. None of this should be a surprise. Which is why we organize to stop it. It's a race, y'all. Pick up the pace and we can win it.

FWIW, Kash has to use a govt plane. We know that bc right wingers (possibly including Kash) attacked Wray for doing the same.

What he doesn't have to do is take his girlfriend to fancy events during a shutdown.
In a functioning democracy, there would be a Congressional investigation and potential criminal referral if what is alleged (using a government plane for personal use) turned out to be true. Instead, someone gets fired, Republicans sweep it under the rug and the media ignores it.
FBI Director Kash Patel has fired a man who he believes is responsible for media reports showing Patel used his FBI jet to fly to see his girlfriend sing at an event, according to reports.
