"I became a Nazi in prison to avoid something worse" is both completely understandable and an indictment of the US prison system, where certain types of violence are not only considered "normal", but openly joked about (even by those who consider themselves enlightened / reform minded).

That's not *literally* what MCP tools do and I'm not claiming that. It's better than 'generate code to do X' and then feeding that code into a pipeline to be executed, but it's not doing something that wasn't possible with pure prompting prior.

They're not doing model dev; they're not AI companies.

No. Why would I expand the definition when about the only way to get money as a startup these days is to be built on AI, as in 'we're building an app that uses AI to automate HR processes [calls an off the shelf model and providing it with custom built MCP tool chains for HR software integrations]'

Same thinking that drives RTO; the small startup I work just asked employees to volunteer to come in on Friday (TWTh are the 3 in office days) because there's a board meeting and they want the office to *look* busy.

We share office space with another company and only have ~15 local employees.

Very happy to have jumped on the “never us-east-1 if possible” train; nothing like waking up late on a Monday and finding out that a) the AWS/the internet has been on fire for the last 10 hours and b) we are totally unaffected

Car insurance going up 57% in 2 years feels unsustainable - no accidents, claims, or tickets, bought new, less than 7000 miles driven (not per year - total!)
