My 9th house is sore from all this Saturn activation. I’m tired of Big Ideas, which feels really weird to me. I need a break from Big Ideas and need to focus on the things that keep me alive and help me thrive. It is not time for “How does this all work?”, it’s “What works and gets it done?” time.

Another queer person told me the other day that they hadn’t heard about what was happening in Chicago and Portland (and didn’t want to know) because they just don’t pay attention to the news these days. Not paying attention at all right now is a choice and not a good one.

Many queer people are trans or otherwise fall into not-cis somehow but not every queer person does. And I think that sometimes it’s important to address things that are specific to specific people. And also this is why, while I will uplift queer people in general, I focus on trans folks.

Often when I talk about trans people folks assume I am talking about all queer people and I am not because there’s shit that trans people have to deal with and experience that cis people don’t, and there are lots of cis queer people. These distinctions matter, differences matter.

Vast, vast majority of trans people aren't going to leave the country. Many can't leave the areas they're currently in.

If trans survival/liberation are something one cares about, at all, that's the reality.

Non-sarcastic follow up to my previous post: I think to be virtuous you need to get messy and dirty because the world is messy and dirty and you can’t help getting a little messy yourself if you roll up your sleeves to do the work of making it a better place.

I think what I’m trying to say is that people are messy and reality is messy and if your reaction to trying to things being messy is to keep closing doors on everything that doesn’t fit your perfect picture of virtue you’re going to end up alone in a room with a mirror.
