TRON is a fascinating test case for the cultural difference between the analogue and the digital (rather like the animations in the TV HHG2G). It is an entirely analogue attempt to represent the digital. The sequels are digital attempts to recreate an analogue attempt to represent the digital.

I think what's impressive about TRON is that, visually, it's still so much more interesting than any of it's sequels. It's crazy that they tried update this digital world by making it as 'realistically rendered' as possible. It's a complete misunderstanding of the original's charm.

As a fan of Tron from the 80s, the concept of Tron should be a winner, but Disney uses the crappiest of writers to produce the worst story lines in the most formulaic way.

I hear grumblin about density this #calgaryelection Surprised few ppl talk about the zoning impacts on city taxes. IMHO I want great services & low taxes and would vote for candidates that support this (meaning high density is fine with me 👍)
