I have a theory that part of what's making people nuts online is that they don't have the experience of seeing something upsetting and violent and gory on cable, then have to just sit in that until they realize they forgot about it and it was fine. Your psyche really isn't that fragile!

Additionally, being overly dramatic over one another's discomfort is how you gas them up to be more hysterical. It's proven with animals and children and also adults. Sometimes you are made uncomfortable and just gotta brush it off and be an adult, especially online.

Learning the difference between being a little uncomfortable and being in actual danger is something you HAVE to learn. Possibly have to start speed running it now if you’re planning on surviving the long term.
