I think this post really exemplifies the liberal mindset.
The liberals see the evil actions of the state and want it to stop affecting them and their community.
They want to return to the days of regular police with judicial warrants disappearing these people, not the disappearing apparatus gone.

This is an extremely clarifying comment: these people think that this is somehow their war and they’re mad that regular folks are fighting it. That’s not what’s happening. Minnesotans are rallying to ensure their neighbors can’t be stolen in secret. It’s not even ideological.

If random masked men are setting fires in your community, I think you should feel free to film them. Especially if dozens of other people and several national news crews are filming them. They are not "allies," they're arsonists. Grow up.

Ugh. The main anti-ICE group in Washington which has 44k followers on Facebook and has been going around to communities promoting classes is now promoting this anti-whistle nonsense for "harm reduction" reasons as well.

The general etiquette is diversity of tactics; that if you’re not into setting fires, you stand back and don’t set fires; other people might and you don’t film them, because your film could be subpoenaed as evidence.

Suggesting that black bloc is an inherently violent tactic can inspire newcomers to movement to see folks in bloc as threats and isolate them in ways that will escalate participants' risk.
It's not academic, you can hurt people with misinformation, even if you are misinforming unintentionally.

The funny part of this is that Will, and probably others, seem to think that they have new insights when they absolutely don't. What you are building isn't a sustainable movement and we will see why quite shortly.
If you read under a lot of the these claims, it’s the same thing: “Ignore the newcomers, they have no insights, pay attention to us instead.” Most of them don’t even live here. They are DESPERATE to remove the challengers, even if it means MN anti-ICE activists have to be expelled as threats.
