I do not think Trump is committed to long term peace, I do not think he cares about Palestinians one iota, but he was willing to apply pressure because he craves a good headline.

Prevents Trump from coming back in 2024 and cements democratic majorities with the will to do actual significant change so yeah it’s completely worth it.
