The last part of the UK firesale is currently well under way. Freeports and SEZs, Sunak's plan that Starmer embraced and turbocharged.

Teesside’s freeport, initiated in 2021 under Rishi Sunak, has cost £560 million far exceeding the standard £25 million allocation (22 times the standard £25m).
90% profits go to the private sector.
This clearly shows the UK model of State aid post-Brexit is utterly corrupt.

Vast profits exported, Britons stare at sewage in rivers.
If the government wants economic growth it must bring essential industries into public ownership
Successive governments clobber households and small businesses by hiking interest rates to manage inflation, but don’t inconvenience corporations.

To me, the ongoing pandemic isnt JUST about science. It is about morals and ethics.
It is acting on the evidence and the HARM that sars2 is causing. There is evidence of harm.
There is ONGOING evidence of harm
The is evidence of ONGOING transmission of sars2
CLEAN THE AIR
Do no harm

In the last year before Covid arrived in England, 4,059 people waited more than twelve hours to get admitted to hospital after the decision was made to admit them to hospital.

During the emergency phase of the pandemic that number rose to a staggering 48,626.

Pre-pandemic:

This is the sad graph of how many patients had to wait *12 hours* to be admitted after the decision to admit them to hospital was made.

Depressing, right.

We're talking about urgent care here.

I'm going to try to show it visually.

I'm going to show three graphs of the weekly numbers of people facing one of the types of delay in urgent care.

Pre-pandemic.
Emergency Phase.
Rampant Spread.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Was just at a neighborhood school at dismissal. Hundreds of people with whistles surrounding the school and stationed down every block making sure ICE doesn’t snatch anyone. The same is happening at all the schools around here. I love my neighborhood and I love Chicago.

And like, even if it is technically more "convenient," I don't value convenience over data security.

I don't want my biometric and other personal data inevitably leaked and made available on the dark web for these nebulous promises of convenience.

The cost outweighs any benefits.

But people don't believe it will do those things! The public haven't asked for this.

On the first day of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emergency teams recovered the bodies of 152 Palestinians from various areas across the enclave.
In the image, several men are seen carrying a body wrapped in a purple blanket through the rubble of a destroyed building in Gaza. The area around them is filled with debris—broken concrete, twisted metal, and splintered wood. Behind them, a group of people stands on the damaged steps of what appears to be a residential building with shattered windows and a cracked facade. The scene conveys devastation and grief, highlighting the human toll of the bombardment even amid the announcement of a ceasefire.

Today my daughter's preschool is holding a farewell assembly for one of her classmates whose mother has no choice but to self deport. The school is hoping it will be joyful in tone, so we might make this less upsetting for this 3 year old.

There's just no words for the uselessness of this cruelty.
