I wrote an article in January about where we have ended up in English law re. "deception as to sex", and what that means for trans people. I think it's likely we can expect to see more of these sorts of cases going forward.

You had a pathetic little meltdown over being called a name.

And you are a cunt for agreeing with that racist post.

Predictably, the UK judiciary finds ways to enable the abuse of men (e.g. lying to women as an undercover cop) while ruining the lives of people that deviate from cishet expectations

This is horrifying. Now she'll be placed with men in prison where she is at extreme risk of being raped and sexually assaulted. And then she has to register as a sex offender.

This is all because a man was ashamed he was attracted to a trans woman.
Screenshot of a BBC News article. The text describes court proceedings involving a person named Watkin, who will serve a prison sentence in a men’s facility with measures to minimize risk and maximize support. It states that Watkin must register as a sex offender for 10 years and is under a lifelong restraining order from contacting the victim. A police detective is quoted saying Watkin concealed her sex, and the victim would not have consented had they known. The article ends with the detective expressing hope that the case’s conclusion allows the victim to move forward.

You didn't defend your point in one of your posts. Funny that.

This is actually what is going to happen.

That’s already what’s happening in Lebanon. Israel kills regularly, violates the ceasefire agreement on an hourly basis.

It’s just not on the news anymore.

This is why pressure against Israel mustn’t just continue, but increase.

The message seems clear, Greens will challenge Reform. This needs to be the choice at the next election. But it can't all be on Polanski.

Happy anniversary to the day Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. Somewhere, Trump is rage-Googling “how to win Nobel without doing peace.”

Lots of you are following politicsintheuk and it turns out they are really Islamphobic. The sight of the Greens deputy leader shouting "god is great" has triggered them somewhat.

They have made it clear that they believe if they make it awful enough to be trans, people will stop being trans. In service of that, the assault of children is a welcome outcome for them.

When politicians like Trump, or Starmer, say & do transphobic things, parents talk about it in front of kids & then the kids bring it to school.

It’s horrific that these kids are being taught to hate & at such an early age.

It is critical we do not import this into Irish politics:

My dearest Gertrude,

I fear I shall not make it home. This war has ravaged our supplies and broken our will.

We arrived with weapons, purpose, and a directive. Yet at every turn, we are mocked. Belittled.

I have never experienced an insult so great in a war zone

Send my best to the children

Homelessness death has gone up by nearly 10 percent in one year which is a staggering statistic given during covid people were housed in hotels, it’s an issue which can be prevented but no government is willing to do so in a meaningful way

Again, this is active collaboration between government and media to go back to stoking and fear hate against members of the public protesting the annihilation of the Gaza Strip. It is scum behaviour and it should be viewed with total withering contempt by everyone.

New: Keir Starmer promises a crackdown on offensive "chants" following a wave of pro-Palestine protests on the second anniversary of Hamas's invasion of Israel.
The prime minister vows to review current public order powers for police, and promises a
"conversation" with forces about "the way these [protests] are being policed"
Protests at campuses across the UK took place yesterday, in defiance of ministers' pleas for people to show restraint out of respect for the 1,200 killed and hostages still held by Hamas.
Starmer tells hacks on a trade trip to Mumbai:
"I've asked the home secretary to look more broadly at what other powers are available, how they're being used, and whether they should be changed in any way.
"I think we need to go further than that in relation to some of the chants that are going on at some of these protests."
